Check the turn signal bulbs to be be sure they're the same number. If they aren't the right bulbs, their resistance might be different and cause one to flash faster than the other. If you have a trailer light plug on your car, check it to be sure the turn signal wire isn't shorting out inside the plug. This will also cause one turn signal to flash faster than the other.

Look at the signal markers (front and back) and see if the light is out. replace the one thats not flashing, make sure the contacs are rust free and clean them also add some type or grease or vaseline

I suggest you compare the watt of the right side flicker to those of the left. any difference will show the flashing of said bulbs. low ampage flash faster than high ampage.

If the right blinker is blinking faster, your car *thinks* that one of the bulbs is out whether it is or not. It may be that the light-emitting filament in one of your bulbs is good but the alternate filament that keeps the circuit complete even when the light-emitter burns out may (ironically) have failed. I would try replacing your right side signal bulbs whether they both appear to be working or not. Hope this is helpful!

If all of the lamps flash on the side that is flashing faster. Find the thing under the dash that is clicking and change it.

Usually one of the globes is blown if not I would try WD40 or similar product and take the globes out and squirt the connections where they contact it might be slightly dirty or moisture in and around the globes electrickery likes to be clean. cya Neil

Wd40 will short out the bulb, I would use dielectric solution.

One light must be out, maybe a dash light or small marker light. Check all lights for loose connection.

SOURCE: Brake light, reverse light and turn signal issues

Hello. The symptoms you are describing are likely due to a poor ground. Temporarily install a new ground wire by securing a piece of copper wire to the frame with a self tapping screw. Use this ground wire along with the hot wire to see if each of these lights works. If it does, trace the ground wire back to the frame, unscrew it and clean up the metal with emery cloth so you reestablish a good ground.

SOURCE: 2005 Freestar turn signals

I have always had that problem and opted to not fix it. It is annoying, but not a major issue. The turn signals work just fine it just depends upon how hard I take my turn...so I slow down a bit more now and honeslty havent had it happen in a while :)

SOURCE: turn signal lights not working.

The 2 filament on the LH Front turn signal is most likely burned out, ...........or the ground to it, & the entire socket needs replaced. Caution lights, send signals to ALL FRONT & REAR lights. All turn signal lights must be in working order, as it is a "pulsating" currect surge sent to the bulbs, LH or RH, depending which direction you wisk to turn. If 1 filament is broken, the circuit is incomplete, & no flash will occur. Usually you will get one light that stays on, & the front or rear missing lighting, is the one whichis the culpret.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy (No Xl or XLT Model). And the left turn signal doesn't work for hazards or normal use.

The smart flasher (GMSF) is an automotive flasher designed to accept turn, hazard, and brake inputs. The GMSF will provide corresponding outputs to the exterior lamps and instrument panel turn signal indicator lamps. This lighting system has dedicated lamps for the turn/hazard functions and dedicated lamps for the brake function. The system incorporates the use of flash rates for diagnostics. The flash rate is a calculation of the number of flashes that occur within a 60 second period. This system uses a percentage of on-time to off-time called duty cycle. For the bulb outage condition, the indicator of the vehicle side on which the outage occurs shall assume bulb outage flash rate mode. The opposite side indicator will assume the normal flash rate mode for an input from the non bulb outage side of the vehicle. Hazard warning lamp outage will maintain a normal flash rate as long as 2 or more exterior signaling lamps are functional. During all modes of operation, the IPC will receive the same flash rates and duty cycles that the exterior lamps receive. The IPC will then control the indicators in the cluster. The vehicle operator will be provided with an audible and visual indication of the flasher operation. Below is a table with flash rates and duty cycles:
Operating Condition
Flash Rate
Duty Cycle
Normal
75 to 105 flashes per minute
45% to 55%
Turn Signal Lamp Outage
2 or 3 times faster than normal flash rate
35% to 55%
The IGN E fuse in the engine wiring harness junction block supplies Ignition positive voltage to the turn signal switch assembly. With the ignition switch in the RUN or START position, ignition positive voltage is connected through the turn signal and hazard switch assembly to the GMSF which is powered by the FLASHER fuse also in the engine wiring harness junction block and is grounded at G201. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, the circuit is complete from the GMSF to the turn signal lamps and to ground. The GMSF then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn indicators. The front turn signals are grounded at G103 and G107. The rear turn signals are grounded at G401 and G402.
The IPC illuminates the TURN SIGNAL ON indicator in the driver information center when the IPC determines that the turn signal is active for more than 1.2 km (0.75 mile). The IPC also sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate the audible warning.
On vehicles equipped with the outside rear view mirror turn signal lamps, the turn signal voltage is also sent to the respective front door module. The door modules then distribute power and ground to the activated lamp.
For trailer wiring, separate turn signal circuits are connected through the GMSF to the trailer wiring harness.

Just left side front and back are not working?

It could need a new turn signal / hazard flasher module.

Town and counrty front right signal light flashing faster, rear light stop flashing

the signal indicator lights are suppose to flash in perticular time interval which is connected to a timer relay when the light flashes faster that means the other light is not working and the relay is getting double the current and moving faster so check the other light either the bulb is fuse or the current is not reaching up to the bulb

Just last week, I noticed that my right turn signal was operating quicker than normal (though only the right one). As of yesterday, the left is operating more quickly as well. NOt sure why... The weather...

Check your lights. Turn on each signal and check the front and rear. A faster signal usually means one of your signal bulbs are out. Once you replace the burned out light it will go back to normal.

I have a 2002 pontiac aztek. My rear right signal/brake lamp does not work. When i signal left, the front and rear left lights flash normally. When i signal right, the front right light flashes normally...

as for the faster flashing thats as simple as a blown bulb, replace the bulb and see if that fixes the problem, it may fix the lot because the other symptoms you mention are a bad connection, if bulb is fine check the connection isnt loose or corroded over. if it is simply file it back to establish better connectivity,

I am pretty sure there is a relay bad on my focus for my signals. the left turn signal flashes faster than the right. Which one do i change?

Howdy,
First look for a burned out bulb on the side that flashes faster. Look carefully. Go to the right side that flashes normal and see how many bulbs flash front side and rear. then turn to left side and look, you may find one bulb burned out.
Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!

Right Turn Signal acts like the Emergency Flasher.

If you have an aftermarket trailer plug on your truck, you are going to want to inspect the wiring to the plug, and the connections in the plug. I think it's shorting out.

LEFT TURN SIGNAL FLASHING TOO FAST

when a turn signal indicator flashes faster than is normal it is your vehicles way of telling you there is a problem with the lighting system, do a visual check of your turn signals and you will find a burned out bulb. just replace the bad one and it will return to normal
