I have a 1999 porsche boxter that I store for the winter. I disconnected the battery. The front trunk was closed by accident and now I can't open it because I don't have a battery connection. How do I get the front trunk to open?
Power up the car via the cigarette lighter socket. Also there should be a loop of flexible cable if it hasn't been or been removed on the RHS at the front connected to the bonnet catch for emergency use.,. To access it you will have to remove the wheel, take off the wheel liner and also the front skirt undertray. then you need a small torch.
Raise and support back of vehicle ,next the gearbox you find the starter, clamp an electrical wire to the 13 m.m. Bolt in the startersolenoid I mean to the big cable and connect the other side of wire to car battery + and clamp a wire from the battery - to the gear box or anywhere ground now you can open the trunk

lower hood back until front edge of hood is above drivers head when seated in car, then release cables holding rear edge of hood to body (one each side clipped onto two ball joints, and unclip long plastic rain channel along rear of hood. lift rear frame/rear window up to vertical behind driver. remove compartment and carpet held by four 1/2 turn screws to uncover engine cover, this is released by turning locking clips 1/2 turn

The cheapest way to get around this and get enough voltage into the system to open the hood is to purchase a cigarette lighter extension (about 3 feet) and cut off the female plug on the end. Strip the 2 wires back a few inches and attach one to the positive and the other to the negative on a set of jumper cables. Attach the other end of the negative jumper to a battery. With the keyless entry in hand, touch the positive cable to the positive terminal on the battery and press the unlock button until you hear the car doors click. Once it clicks, you should be able to use the hood latch to gain access to the battery.

your going to have to use a jumper box.good luck.

Assuming the car battery is ok (if not, buy a male to male cigarette lighter at the auto store and connect to another car until charged enough to unlock the doors...but don't try to crank the ignition!). The trunks won't open if the battery went dead with the alarm set because arming the alarm physically locks the releases.
Sounds like the key code is switched off because you replaced the key fob battery. Try unlocking the car manual with the key in the door lock. Then switch the ignition on to reactive the keyless entry. If this does not work, you might also try pressing the fob unlock button with the key in the door lock until the dash led flashes.

Hello there
To get to your trunk Porsche made an emergency operatin cable which is located in you drivers side rear wheell location.
You have to remove the plastic protection cover and towards the end there try to locate the cable.
Simple just pull and the trunk will open.
If you like send me an email and i will send you a picture so you have an idea what to look for.
