So your saying that regardless of what setting you put it in your blower motor doesn't blow anything? correct?
If this is the case the problem is with the blower motor.
Have to check switch, relay , resistors and motor.
My bet is on the switch.
The switch that runs the blower motor for air and heat sends the DC voltage through some big resisters when it isn't set on high. (On high it sends all the power to the motor.) If the lowest speed doesn't work then one of the resisters has gone bad, or come disconnected. If more than 1 speed doesn't work then a differant resister has gone bad or disconnected. The power runs through each resister in series so the most common one to go bad is the second to highest speed. when this resister is bad thaen it will only work on the highest setting. Replacing the switch won't fix it. You will have to find the resister that is bad and replace it. The resister bank is usually tucked up behind the dash where only a kid can focus his eyes, and contort himself enough to see it. Once the resister is replaced it should run perfectly. Presto.
start car.turn on air conditioner high cool .raise hood look to see if the compressor clutch is engaged and running.if yes your ac air door could be stuck closed or the air door vacuum actutator not receiving vacuum.a vacuum line is broken or off. or the control switch bad.that control the AC and heater mode. if compressor clutch is not engagged.check for power at compressor clutch.if yes compressor clutch coil open. or the air conditioner refrigerant R 134 is low take car to a private garage with a good reputation. they wont be expensive as the dealership.have them hook car air conditioner to a manifold gauge set to check your refrigerant low side and high side pressure.
problems yes low high and high low are usually caused by faulty defective clutch coil or defective thermostat...electrical issues can be cycling switch pressure switches ambient air sensor or fin switch ( evap temp sensor)
Mechanically it could be clutch,or compressor the symptoms are not good... srry hit me back if you got some manual gauges and wanna run pressure test diagnostics..
I have the same problem and asked an air conditioner mechanic what he thought. He said that the problem is a bad module under the dash that works a door that guides the air through the heater core or switches to the air condenser by the dash switch. He told me he could not fix it because he was too old and it would take a young man or woman to work under the dash.
