Have you tried your spare remote, it may just be the remote button is defective. If no then the electric latch motor is defective or some how jammed

First to open boot get into boot via folding down rear seats and pull emergency opening cable. Now boot open try remote and see if it actuates. Next push lock catch to closed position and try agai. 407 has a seperate solonoid for boot if it has open boot only option on fob. Not working check fuse in fuse box, correct fuse is shown on inside of box lid. If fuse ok. Remove actuator by unscrewing boot trim and unscrew with a 10mm spanner. Unclip wires. Check solonoid by powering by battery and you will hear click and see actuator arm move in. If not working take as an example to,spares shop to match up. As a temp fix tie string to emergency handle and threat through back seats so you can pull cable from inside car. Good luck.

Is your boot window open, the back window on the boot opens without opening the boot, if it's not closed properly the interior lights stop on ,plus you can't open the boot,some owners dont know that the back window actually opens ,plus your alarm keeps goes off because the window is not closed
