SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2006 Dodge

It is located on the driver's side of the engine. You will see a yellow handle for the fuel/water separator drain valve at the bottom of the filter housing. The black plastic top unscrews and the filter can be pulled out.868820e.jpga75da07.jpg

Diesels can use lots of fuel mainly when the injectors and/ or pump need reconditioning. When the air filter is dirty and needs changing. When the accelerator doesnt' go to full throttle on the stop setting but has clearance to the stop screw. When the engine oil is too heavy from not being changed often enough. When the fuel filters need changing

when leaving a vehicle for any length of time leave full of fuel so no air gap and disconnect the battery ,now as for the running i would suggest the turbo as i do know from experiance that these seem to be a weak spot with these vehicles

6.0 liter diesel slugish on take off

this problem can be related to the EGR, if you let them idle to much they get coked up and get stuck in the open position(not allowing enough fresh air in). also change the fuel filters like every 2-3 oil changes. It's expensive but worth the effort.
