It is on the side of transmission. Drivers side. It is located under the shift cable.

Check the hot water control valve, it is usually located on the firewall. Sometimes the control cable will break in the closed position. Other condition might be clogged heater hose or heater core.

you have to remove the trans pan and the valve body in the transmission

there is a switch on the transmission that the power goes through to backup lights if switch is bad on trans lights won't come on

For the person having shifting issues with your Durango I would say its the throttle " Kickdown " cable located on top of the engine and to the right side along side the throttle valve and throttle body, It needs to be taken out of its bracket and adjusted you either pull it forward and/or back then place it back in, you may need to do this repeatily until you find the right spot, and once you find the right positon for it your shifting issues should stop, I know this to be true because I own the same vehicle, and after spending a lot of $$$ and time with others I learned the hard way. the po700 code will be found in the engine controller all it means is there is a code preasent in the trans controller a good scan tool is needed to communicate with trans controller to retrieve the stored codes that specify problem
