Usually just pry between tranny and axel and pops off. see this has a c clip on the end off the axel so it has some pressure.just pry and it should pop right off. ps make sure theres no pin on the axel if there is just use a center punch and push it out you might need a hammer.

Shocks

1992 Toyota Celica is not equipped with front "shocks". This vehicle is equipped with front wheel drive and independent MacPherson strut front suspension. Any repairs made to this system requires the removal of the entire strut assembly, which includes the strut, the coil spring and upper strut bearing assembly.

Replacement of any of the parts of the strut assembly requires the use of specialized equipment designed to compress and hold the coil spring to relieve the tension on the strut and upper bearing assembly.

Any attempt to disassemble the strut assembly without the proper equipment for compressing and securely holding the coil spring can result in SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.

Knocking sound from front wheel on my 2WD 1992 toyota pickup. It happens as the truck is in motion. there will be a ticking sound as the wheel rotates. it sounds like a metal ball bearing is falling and...

This needs immediate attention . It can be the wheel bearing assembly, the axle worn out, the hub worn out , hitting the brakes.
Now it depends on your resources of technical work and equipment to do the job. Since this requires the removal of the hub assmebly and replacement your technical capacity is important.

Jack up the vehicle and manuall rotate to confirm remove tyre , now checck to confirm and replace accordingly. Use the correct torque, change faulty bushes in the suspension as you remove these front suspension.

2005 Toyota Camry is making a loud scraping sound after driving 15 mins...What could be causing the noise? I took it in to Toyota and Firestone and they couldn't find anything...

Take the car out on a quiet parking lot(no traffic) get it up to speed and when the noise is occuring turn the car to the right and to the left...did the noise go away???
I think on one of those turns it did...if it went away on the left turn the left front wheel bearing/hub assembly is bad and needs replacement, if it went away on the right turn the right side hub/bearing needs replacement. Hope that helps!!

Front wheel bearing replacement

The bearings on this vehicle are in a sealed unit, called a wheel hub assembly, and cannot be serviced. The wheel hub assembly has to be replaced as a whole.
To do so,you will need to remove the wheel, the brake caliper (be sure to hang this out of your way,so as not to damage the brake line.). After you have done this, remove the axle nut,and rotor. Now you are down to the wheel hub assembly.
You will need to remove the three bolts that retain it from the back side of the unit, and then install a hub puller, which you can rent from Autozone.
Assembly is te reverse of the bove steps, and remember to torque all bolts to manufacturers specs, which Autozone can tell you what they are. Thanks.....Louis

Front brake rotors 1995 toyota 4runner

If you have 6 bolts going around the center (manual lock in/lock out) hub, you are going to be there a while. The center hub needs to come off, and ALL of the internal wheel bearings need to come out. The whole locking hub must be removed in order get the rotor off. This is NOT an easy job, and you need a special tool to loosen/tightem the wheel bearings. Figure 2 hrs per side if you have all of the proper tools & skill level.

Replacing a rear wheel bearing Hub on a 2001 celica 190?

I had this same problem myself. The hub is a sealed unit and must be purchased as a whole assembly to the tune of around $400 from Toyota. Long story short I never replaced my hub. The problem turned out to be tires that were worn out. I figured that out when i rotated the tires and the sound moved to the front of the car... Go figure. Replaced the tires and all the noise went away.
