SOURCE: 92 buick park ave security light on car wont start

Someone put the wrong key (resistor value) in the ignition lock, you will have to disconect the battery for 3 min. Make sure you have the right key. Very important! Make sure the climate control is off before disconecting/conecting the battery.

SOURCE: 91 Buick Park Ave won't start

i just came across this problem myself the other day. i have a 91 buick park avenue that sometimes won't start. i checked several things out like cable connections and coil pack etc. etc. come to find out it was the wiring that came off the coil pack and connects to the crank sensor. the wiring that ran over top of the water pump had finally heated up so bad the coating on the wires had melted and when the engine got hot enough the wires would come in contact and send false signals to the computer not letting it start. after the car cools down and the wires contract it would start. so check the wires from the coil pack to the crank sensor to make sure the wires are not melted together.

1997 buick park ave. ultra, list of all brands of spark plugs that are equivilant to A C delco 12568387

Go to website rockauto.com and put your vehicle info in there. They list pretty much every name brand plug that is easily available for vehicle. Only thing it may not show is old "obsolete" plugs that may work - but you probably want to avoid old plugs anyway. They changed plugs to newer materials that can handle the hotter spark and higher temps on cars running injection and CAT systems.

How do I change Spark plugs?

93 park ave has a v8. Four plugs on each side. Followthe spark plugs from top of engine to spark plugs. Use a spark plug wire remover (plastic pliers) to help remove wire from plug. Mark each wire where they go. Go down to auto store and buy pugs and get a swivel spark plug wrench to fit the plugs anduse a extension with rachet to remove plugs (turn counter-clockwise to remove). Replace with new. (new plugs should screw in with fingers, then tighen with socket firmly. Not over tight. I holp this helps a little - ran out of writing space. Good luck
