Here are the steps of oil change in Nissan
1)Disconnect the cable from a battery from the negative battery terminal.
2)Eliminate the items on the oil box
3)Disconnect the gasket from the valve cover
4)Clean the chum surfaces of the valve cover and the engine head
5)Put the oil filler to the point of oil whole
6)Now add oil to this filler until it is full.
what kind of oil are you putting in? Engine oil, or transmission fluid? Engine oil should be on one of the valve covers or there will be an oil filler neck. Trans fluid you add in the trans stick
I have a 1999 3.8L Buick engine. The filler neck has a large o-ring and twists into place on the front top of the valve cover. The filler neck only needs about a half-turn to be in posiiton. It is keyed with pastic tabs on the neck so it only goes in one-way. Let me know fi this helps or you need more infromation.
OIl filler neck goes to the air cleaner ,the PCV needs to go to manifold vaccum from a Valve cover to the carb body below the throttle plates or a outlet on one of the intake runners...
