Follow bottom radiator hose to engine. 2 10mm bolts hold the thermostat cover.

There are two separate thermostats in your application, a primary and a secondary. The primary and secondary thermostats have different temperature profiles in terms of their opening temperature because they are located on different areas of the engine. The primary thermostat is located on the front of the water plenum in the thermostat housing/coolant inlet. The secondary thermostat is located in the cylinder head under the water plenum. Need to know how to replace the thermostat on a 1996 buick century wagon 3.1 6 cylinder engine

Trace the upper radiator hose to the mounting area on the intake manifold. Loosen the hose clamp on the manifold end of the hose and remove the hose. Pull the thermostat out of the intake manifold.

if you follow your top radiator hose it should lead to your thermostat houseing .the thermostat is located under that

Where is the thermostat located?

Your thermostat is located on the the intake manifold of your engine.

-Locate the upper radiator hose.
- Follow it to where it meets the engine.
- The fitting the upper radiator hose is attached to is the thermostat housing.

If you remove the thermostat housing, you will find the thermostat nestled in nicely underneath.

Where is the thermostat located in my 1995 mazda 626

The thermostat is located on the engine block, where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. You'll see a large elbow-like component that is attached to the engine with 2 bolts.
Just follow that upper radiator hose and you got the location. When you remove that housing (elbow-like component), you'll see the thermostat.
Make sure you note which end of the thermostat is up and which end is down. Don't reverse the install.

Thermostat is located on 4.0L I-6 on front cylinder head. The 3.7L V-6 thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose attaches to engine. The 4.7L V-8 thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose attaches to engine. The 5.7L V-8 thermostat is located where the upper radiator hose attaches to engine. The 3.9L V-6 and 5.9L V-8 Thermostat is located on front top of intake manfold (between alternator and ac compressor)
