SOURCE: where is the mass air flow sensor on a 2002 toyota

Hi,
I don't know if you have a 4 or 6 cylinder engine.
Here are a couple of links to Autozone where you can look at the part and identify it on the top of your engine. "A picture's worth a thousand words". Hope this helps... Good luck!

If 4 cylinder:

If 6 cylinder:

SOURCE: 1996 toyota tercel air conditioner will not work

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Let us try to help.

Yes, you read correctly; if the refrigerant charge is low,or the refrigerant has leaked out, the AC compressor will not activate. Pressure switches built into the system inturupt the power to the AC clutch if there is insufficient system pressure.

I would suggest taking the vehicle to a qualified garage, and have the service tech there hook his set of 'AC Gauges" to the car. After he does that, he can tell you if you need a partial charge, of if you system is empty. I would def recommend the car be checked with the AC gauges; as adding refrigerant to the system without knowing how much is currently in it can damage the compressor.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for advice!

SOURCE: install motor/regulator to 2000 camry solara

It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver,8" X 4" block of wood and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. Next use the flat screw driver and pry out the black plastic mirror cover from the inside of the door. Pry out the switch panel ( aka master switch panel) with the flat screw driver and disconnect it. On the side of the door panel just above the striker is this plastic push pull typeof a hold in screw. Use flat screw driver to get it to move a little then pull it out with the needle nose. Depending on which door your doing if you have a map folder ( driver or front passenger door) in the door there are two more screw to remove on the bottom of the door.
Now the inside door handle is tricky it comes out in two pieces. Use philips and get the only hold down screw you see out.( you may have to pry out al ittle screw cover first) Now the handle cover is removed by placeing the flat screw driver on the rear of the outside of the cover top and on the outside rear bottom to release the tangs that are holding it onto the panel.Pry it out lightly you may have to place the screw driver over the top of the door release button and pry that way. Don't loose your cool its a pain but it will fall out. Once its removed unhook the panel.

Next lift the plastic cover and remove the six gold2_bing.gif bolts first(For motor and regulator) Then push the window down till you see the two bolts holding the window to the regulator .Remove them, BEFORE YOU PULL OUT THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR YOU WILL SEE TWO TANGS THAT HELP HOLD THE REGULATOR AND MOTOR TO THE DOOR MARK THE RELOCATION , NOW pull out the motor and regulator have an assistant hold up the glass while you place the two blocks of wood to hold up the window. Now order your regulator and installation is in reverse. Good luck kate. Keep me posted.

What can cause low Compression on Cylinder number 1, and Cylinder number 2 on a 2000 toyota solara 2.2L?

Low compression on cylinder number 1 and cylinder number 2 on a 2000 Toyota Solara 2.2L engine could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few possibilities:
  1. Worn or damaged piston rings: The piston rings seal the combustion chamber and maintain compression. If the rings are worn or damaged, they may not be able to seal the combustion chamber properly, resulting in low compression.
  2. Damaged or worn valves: The valves allow air and fuel to enter the combustion chamber, and allow exhaust gases to exit. If the valves are damaged or worn, they may not be able to seal the combustion chamber properly, resulting in low compression.
  3. Damaged or worn cylinder walls: The cylinder walls are what the pistons move against. If the walls are damaged or worn, they may not be able to maintain proper compression.
  4. Head gasket failure: The head gasket seals the combustion chamber and prevents compression from escaping. If the head gasket is damaged or blown, compression can escape, resulting in low compression.
  5. Leak in the intake or exhaust system: a leak in the intake or exhaust system can cause low compression.
The dry compression test you did on cylinder 1 and 2, 80 PSI and 60 PSI respectively, are not within the normal range and indicate low compression. The wet compression test results are also not within the normal range, 95 PSI and 85

Have a 2000 toyota solara that will not crank intermittantly...two days ago drove to town shopped for a few hours and when came back the car would not crank.... called for someone to help... but when

tell me if engine was normal.because many things will cause engine not to start up tell me if engine is turning over if yes.i would do minor things.replace air filter, clean fuel injectors engine be flooding if you have starting problems when engine hot.if you seen check engine light flashing code scan vechicle at auto zone free could have faulty idle speed air control valve, vacuum leaks at egr valve or vacuum hoses, could have problems with VVT TIMING SENSOR CONTROL VALVE TIMING,could have bad fuel injector, or faulty engine coolant temperature sensor if bad it will cause hard starting problems, best have vechicle code scan using a scanner that will save you time and money.

Air conditioner condensation is leaking in the car

It is normal for water (condensation) to drip from the car when the air conditioner has been running. This is just a natural reaction of the cool inside meeting the warm outside air. Water collects on teh outside of the condensor and drips down. Nothing to be concerned about.

Idle to low

The idle is electronic, possible causes of this could be the idle air control valve, mass air flow sensor, and air hose from filter. You can verify if there are any leaks in your filter housing with a visual inspection, you can also remove the mass air flow sensor very easily and see if it is clogged with dirt.
