Hey Dana,

First off be sure to take off the negative battery cable then the positive. Wait a couple of mins. so your airbags don't deploy. Remove the steering column cover and then the two retaining bolts. Pull the switch out, unplug the connector and withdraw the switch assembly from the steering column. With new switch plug in the electrical connector, place the switch in position and install the screws. Tighten the bolts securely and put the steering column cover back on. Put the battery cables back on.

SOURCE: Airbag dashboard light keeps blinking. In 1997 Ford Thunderbird.

The air bag computer will have to be scanned and the code read to know what the fault the computer detects. The problem will have to be repaired for the light to shut off. Keep in mind, when the air bag light is illuminated the air bag system is deactivated. Meaning, in the event of a collision the bags won't deploy.

Iam no mech but is it hard 2 change the motor n transmission mounts in a 96 ford thunderbird 3.8 engine if it is whats the going price 2 do so i dont get taken

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. You will need to be able to unbolt both sides of the mount and support the engine with the jack while you replace the mounts. If you download the autozone app to a smart pone or tablet it will give you a repair estimate calculator,

How to replace a head light switch on a 1997 ford thunderbird

You have to remove the front panel of the switch and replace the switch in the circuit. This may not be easy unless you have a manual that covers this procedure. The DS-148 appears to be the model for your vehicle. Try this link for more details:
