SOURCE: I have a 2009 Honda pilot. has a tapping noise when in reverse.

VTM 4 is a traction control system designed for better traction and fuel efficiency. I'd get it back to the dealer ASAP. There seems to be a coil malfunction in the rear axle. I'd make them fully check out the rear axle in addition to checking out the coil sensors themselves. Best of luck to you!

SOURCE: Noisy Transmission on my 2009 Honda CRV

If you have an automatic transmission, locate and check the transmission fluid dipstick to ensure you have enough fluid.

If manual transmission, usually you can only check it by unscrewing a bolt. (the fluid lasts a long time and shouldn't leak -look for fluid on the bottom of the transmission or under the car..)

I have not worked on these, so I am just guessing.

The noise could also be not in the transmission perhaps..

Honda crv 2007 compressor clutch does not engaging when temperature is high. It will engage in the morning when temperature is low. Check the relay and works fine.

Most common cause is overcharged system. Refrigerant heats and expands at higher temps and high pressure switch shuts off compressor. See this post on how to diagnose http://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/ac-compressor-clutch-not-engaging/

I am having problem with my Honda CRV 2005. 1. Fans working fine but no power from relays. 2. Relays working fine

If I am interpreting this correctly you are trying to get the fans to engage. I am assuming that you have the ac on and the fans aren't coming on? If that is the case then it could be an issue with the air conditioning system. If the compressor does not engage then the fans will not either. This could be caused by low freon level or an issue with the compressor clutch burning out. If I can assist further, reach me at https://www.6ya.com/thericepatch

Turning the AC on and nothing happens, hear the compressor engage but shuts off.

As a 2003 Honda Crv owner I can tell you Honda Crv's have a compressor Engineering design /defective/ faulty problems. There was a civil action law suit because of this. Unfortunatley I had already had my whole system flushed and replaced with 79,000. Make sure they replace the condensor and the rubber hose lines due to metal fragments in the AC system. If you dont you will be replacing system again. spent 1600.00 and WASNT happy finding out that Honda atually knows about this problem.

Smell of burning rubber rear offside wheel area

Hi there! Check out this link.
http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic175126.htm
this link will take you to a forum full of people with CRV's who are having the exact same problem. It seems to be with almost every year of the CRV as well. Unfortunately Honda has no explanation or solution for this problem. I have a 2009 CRV and have not had this smell, but I have been having a ton of other problems with it. I have been incredibly dissapointed with this car, and will never get another Honda. I hope you have better luck than I, and be careful with it cause I think there are some serious problems with these CRV's. Good Luck!
