There are generic block heaters available that fit in the radiator hose and keep the water warm thus heating the block as well.

You'll need some metric sockets and wrenches. 8, 13,14,15mm and so on, a ratchet, a few extensions, and a telescopic mirror, to help see where the bolts are.

The easiest way to locate your "power steering reservior" is to first locate your serpentine belt and then follow this belt to this reservior. The reservior will have a pulley for the serpentine belt.

What is the cost for replacing the water pump for a 1999 Saturn SL2?
The water pump is +/- $35 and here can find DIY how to replacement.

you have a bad head gasket or a cracked head better off to replace engine with a lower mileage motor its better to do and maybe cheaper.the reason i say this is because when you rebuild the top end the lower end becomes the next victim when put up against a newly rebuilt top end.

1999 saturn sl1 wagon has overheating problem. Had a leak in the reservoir so I replaced that. During that time had added stop leak several times. Reservoir is now new, but still losing water at speeds...
If you cant see any water coming out anywhere then the only choice is a blown head gasket.

The reason the resorvior had a leak was the pressure from the engine got into the coolant and blew up the reservior bottle. This is a real common problem with saturns.

Get the car inspected. A simple test a a reapir shop will confirm this.

Be sure to flush all the stop leak out or it will clog the heater core up and the heater will not work.

How do I change the time on my 1999 Saturn SL-2?
I believe you need to press and hold the volume/power knob on the radio then push the tune button - you'll notice small words under the different sides of the button for "hr" and "min"

i have a 1995 saturn. i had it for 5 years without any problems except for 2 years ago i needed a new starter but the big problem started about two months ago i bought a new battery. so its been about 2 weeks since my car battery is completely drained. i had it recharged and it slowly drains again. iv done some reading could be a parasitic battery ( my car windshield cleaner also stopped coming out as well as my car charger stopped working and my automatic car lock as well) or i even read it could mean i need new spark plugs but then i read in other places spark plugs would have nothing to do with that? im kinda confused on that. if anyone has some helpful insight on what my problem could be. also i did notice a leak in my cover gasket which in turn caused my spark plugs to be covered in oil. im started to think thats its just time to get a new car but i dont want to let the saturn go!
