SOURCE: 2006 murano sun visor

I have found a few complaints at the following gov. site.
I have tried velcro which worked for awhile but now the glue won't stick to the roof material.

File a complaint here: (VIN # needed)

Search for the complaint - Visibility section

Sun visor won't fully retract

look up in the corner of the visor where it mounts.. usually there is a small screw there .. raise the visor up in place and tighten the screw..it should stay up..if not ..use a bit of velcro on the visor and the headliner above it..cheap fix but it works..also invest in a windshield cover they are only a few bucks and work for other uses also.. they make a great emergency mat if you need to look under the car on naty ground(rain, snow, mud, etc)

Droopy sunvisor for 2007 camry. Was able to pop off the visor assembly (driver-side) with clips intact. Appears that the mounting place in the roof is loose/broken. Is there a fix without repair by the...

I had the same issue with my wife's car, If it is the same problem as our the issue lies withing the visor itself. The shaft that enters the side of the visor become loose and it prevents the visor from staying flush with the ceiling. You can carefully take it apart and repair it, but it involves cutting the fabric. I would recommend getting a used visor.

As they work on friction you may be able to
compress the material on the outside which will then give the inside more grip.
Put a cloth around the top of the visor to protect the material and use Mole grips with the half circle jaws or pliers of the same construction grips to squeeze the area around where the rod enters the visor

Other option is a wreckers yard?

2007 Optima sun visor is loose.

My 2007 Optima Driver's Side visor also had the same problem. I removed it with the screws under the plate at the base of the visor. Upon further inspection, the plastic inside the "hinge" had shattered inside the plastic sleeve. I am currently attempting some at-home super-glue-and-epoxy repair. If this works, I've saved myself a couple hundred bucks in repairs.

I have a 2007 Sonata and the driver's side sun visor broke. I called the dealership where I purchased the car, and was told that they only cover it for 5 years/60,000 miles. So if your's is broken, get it in there before the warranty expires. Otherwise the cost is around $80 for the visor unit.
