SOURCE: check engine light stays on

Make sure the gas cap is there and is fully tightened (it will click), a loss or missing cap will turn the check eng light on.

How can you help me with my car to pass emmissions

when you take the car back for emissions test, try this trick. keep in a lowish gear with high revs when you take it. 9 times out of 10 this will work long enough to get it through the test

I have a 2000 cadillac deville i have changed the map sensor fuel filter did a tune up changed the crank sensor both cleaned the throttle body and iac valve but car still stall out calmly can anyone point...

There are a couple of things that can be tested before replacing them.
Have the mass air flow sensor tested, and have a fuel pressure test done, there might be a weak fuel pump and/or faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Code large air leak (emmission light stays on)

You need the code
Then you find the problem in the EVAP System
An EVAP Smoke Machine, would have you making the repair in about 3 minutes.
So unless you can find a loose hose, broken fitting Etc,you need professional help.
Then the job is completed with a scanner to test system, I doubt your spending 8 thousand for that piece of test equip.
Now you know why cars cost a lot to fix.

Got 5 emmission done,it won't pass

you will need to find a shop that does emission repairs. maybe not the guy that inspected and failed it. If a shop has the machine, they should have someone there that knows how to fix your car.

O2 sensor 1996 volvo fail emission test

If you have trouble codes stored in your cars computer for O2 sensors a fuse will not fix it. One or all of the O2's may need to be replaced. There are test that can be done to confirm which one.

I have a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 Very high emmissions?

I have an X300 and had very high emmissions at an MOT. Diagnosed by Jaguar as the Lamda (02) sensors. Bought alternatives as Jag wanted a fortune and had them fitted by the Jaguar Main Dealer. Took it for MOT and it still had the same emmissions! MOT chap swapped the leads of the two Lambda sensors over and it was perfect! Still don't know if was the problem or the sensors were faulty.
So check if either the Lamda sensors are faulty or they are plugged in the wrong way. Try swapping the leads first as it is much cheaper!

Test no pass

Have you got all your hoses running to the emmission control box (usually a round or rectangular box on the passenger side near firewall). Is the box old and needs replaceing? If you don't want to change because is very dear to do you could change your spark plugs and fuel filters? Also change your oil with a lighter oil a 55w/10 and oil filter and your spark plug leads with new ones 8mm diamiter would be good as it is less resistance for the spark which will aid in fuel burn and air filter change is good idea to, maybe 200 dollars or so to do this but all will help reduce your emmissions if emmission box isn't working properly. Hope this helps
