Winding more than 2 1/2 turns will be overwinding and might break the part. make sure you follow those instructions. wind anticlock wise, no more than 2 and half turns. Good luck

SOURCE: "when do i change the cam belt on a peugeot 307 sw diesel"

usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.
It took me (DIY job) about 6-8 hours as i wanted to save 450 pounds.

SOURCE: instruction to change cam belt on peugeot 307

If its DIY job then you can download the instructions i have uploaded for you (available for 45 days to download from today).

First of all you need to take off ancillary drive belt.
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=ml20tdk87lf

then follow the instructions to change Cambelt.
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=mb7lpdd4ctc

It is better if you change the tensioner roller and water pump when you change the cambelt as they are running under same belt and suffering the wear & tear as well.

2008 mercury milan how to remove the spark plugs

You will need the correct spark plug socket, a short extension bar and a ratchet.
*Do not remove more than one spark plug or plug wire at a time.*
Use the extension bar to get the socket into place. It should grip the plug when seated properly. Using the ratchet apply even, firm pressure and the plug should unscrew. The plugs shouldn't be in too tight. Don't use too much force as plugs can snap or strip out the threads in the cylinder head.
Refit the spark plug 'by hand' to make sure it is seated in the threads properly and turn, again by hand, until you feel it grip. Try using the extension bar like a screwdriver. Use the ratchet to tighten the plug until it gets tight then STOP! It should be less than one full turn. Refit the plug lead THEN move on to the next one. If your using a torque wrench it should NOT be tighter than 25Nm (18ft\lbs).

I have a 76 el Camino an need brakes on the rear I have tires off on the rear and the drum sliding but will not come all the way off what am I missing?

ok,push the drum back. and with the brake adjuster try to close the brake shoes, at the adjuster bolt, when you turn the bolt brake adjuster and turns and makes little noise you are opening the brake shoes, try turning the other way to close the brake shoes (to turn that way you have to push the stop lever by a little screwdriver to turn it back.

Canter window wont wind up

this happens if the window goes down too far because the stop has moved or broken off. Try refitting it as there should ne no parts necessary as the rollers are either "v" shaped or will run in a track. Make sure the window glass channels are correctly adjusted after fitting the roller back in and check for max down position

Cannot get the wind shield wiper motor back in the wind shield wiper stops in the middle of the wind shield

this is normally caused by a bad wiper motor or binding of the wiper gears and linkage arms.
check to see if the linkage arms are tight and not loose. also try and lube up the pivot points.
another thing to check is to make sure you have 12 volts to the heater.

Volkswagon bora 130 tdi is juddering with asr light coming on and staying on bit like changing gear at low revs but it does go not away unless turn car off and start again or turn asr off before driving...

asr works in conjunction with abs.to stop a wheel it(the car)thinks is loosing grip, from spinning.By applying the brakes to the wheel that is loosing grip,so the car is applying the brake. hence the juddering. if it stops when you turn it (asr)off it must be a sensor fault.easy way is to plug in the diagnostic computer to pinpoint faulty unit. if you dont drive very enthusiastically, then turn asr off until next mot/service.get back if you need any more info ....
