Lady friend has a 2006 escape hybrid; she just had problem of overheat; same as I had with my 2007; she went to Ford Dealer; they said it was a recall issue; fixed it for free. I paid a "Christian Brothers"
garage to fix mine; had no idea about a recall; (and bought mine from a Ford Dealer;!) but was not near a Ford Dealer at the time; both problems were the same and related to the hybrid system.

I cannot seem to find the engine cooling temp sensor on a 2007 buick rendezvous

Hi Julia , why do you believe you need to find the temp sensor ? Temp gauge not working ? The cooling Temp sensor is a input to the PCM / ECM - engine computer .
Engine Coolant Temperature Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine coolant temperature (ECT) as determined by the powertrain control module (PCM) or the powertrain control module (PCM). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the ECT. The range on the ECT gage is between 60-125Ā°C (140-260Ā°F). The ECT gage defaults to 60Ā°C (140Ā°F) or below if the PCM detects a malfunction in the ECT sensor circuit. Refer to Cooling System Description and Operation .
Would have DTC- diagnostic trouble code stored in Instrument cluster or the check engine light would be on . Before replacing a part you may not need take it to a qualified repair shop to have it diagnosed .

I have 2007 1.4 citi golf car over heats and i have changed the thermostat it stopped few weeks and same problem again. The temperature gage is always on normal. Will only see steam from bonnet.

Anon, If temp. gage is showing normal and you are seeing steam, chances are there is a leak in system or maybe something as simple as a bad rad cap. Take vehicle in to a good shop where they can pressure test cooling system and diagnose and give estimate for repair.

Truck dies when temp. gage gets past middle, will start after cools

Could still be the ign. control module. If they get too hot they stop working. I recommend finding out what is causing your cooling system to not cool correctly. Check your clutch fan for proper operation. check the thermostat and water pump. also make sure you upper and lower radiator hoses are good. finally make sure you bleed all the air out of the system.

check that the direction of the fans is correct as with DC power fans if the polarity is reversed then the fans will spin backwards . Check that the fans were correct type for your car. The problem is no air flow through the radiator at idle which is fan problem

Gettin false reading on temp gage

If you unplug the temp sensor and the gauge still moves, look for a problem in the wiring harness or the cluster.

Replaced thermostat and sending unit .check engine light went out .on incline have 3/4 gage warm, when level goes 1/4 on gage cold air, temp wont get hot.or 1/4 gage.could this be computer if so how to...

Not computer. You have air in the cooling system. Bubble is moving around. Park on an upward incline, take the radiator cap off, run the engine and keep the radiator full. Let it warm up and let the thermostat open (until you see flow in the radiator). Then fill to the brim and keep full until it stops going down. Also open any bleed ports you can find in the cooling system (there may not be any) and let any air out of them. Let the engine run and check for any bubbles that continue to come out. If bubbles continue to come up, you have a blown head gasket that is forming the bubble and causing the heater and temp gage issues. If bubbles do not come out, maybe you have fixed the problem by getting all the air out. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have a 2007 Saturn ION 2. I've already had the cam performance sensor replaced. Now something is causing the temperature gauge to malfunction. (Won't move, and then, it kicks up - to normal) The A/C...

Hello,
Did you have a specific engine code requiring replacement of the Cam Position Sensor?
Did you recently replace the thermostat or run low on coolant or have some other cooling system work done? The temperature sensor can be bad, or simply have a loose wire connection. Check those. There can be air in the coolant system as well. Finally, the thermostat could be sticking and will need to be replaced.

These issues have nothing to do with the Air Conditioner. However, the AC will not cool if the car is sitting still unless the condenser fans (electric) are running. Turn on the AC and check to ensure the cooling fans energize.

Most of these items you can check yourself, however if not, then have your mechanic or a mechanically inclined family member or friend check them for you.

Best regards,

Cool air comes out the vent when I put the heater

temperature flap most probably stuck in cooling position. normally the potentiometer in the flap motor causes the problem. cleaning the potentiometer normally solves the problem.

99 Buick La Sabre-accelrating problem-fuel injectors?

It sound as though the car is overheating and maybe the mechanic did not properly blled the system to expel the air.
Air does not heat or cool in a pressurized environment and will read ok on the temp guage.Basically the air is plugging the circulation at the senders spot.
Call the repair shop and ask if it was properly bled.
