SOURCE: I can`t figure out how to remove the rear seats

you have to to push against the bottom half of the seat towards the back of the car, theres a clip that holds the bar in place and then they just pull out. The top half of the seats have to be unbolted

  1. Open the trunk and locate the seat release levers or buttons. These are typically located at the base of the seat near the bottom of the seatback.
  2. Press the seat release lever or button to release the seat from the vehicle.
  3. Carefully lift the seat up and out of the vehicle.
  4. To remove the seat bottom, pull the seat bottom forward, and then lift it out of the vehicle.
  5. To remove the seat back, pull the seat back forward and then lift it out of the vehicle.

HOW TO REPAIR RELEASE CABLE ON ANTARA REAR SEAT

Sound silly but here we go. Pull the side that works. Listen for the clicks at the latch release on the seat. With the seat down, look at how it releases. There is a lever that moves back and forth. That locks and unlocks around the latch or striker. Now try the side that doesn't work, If it's clicking at the latch the cable end may have come off. Find the same kind of lever on the bad seat, with a screwdriver it will release where the cable releases at the latch. I hope that helps. If you have to repair the cable, that's really self explanatory when you examine the system. Good Luck.

How do I remove the front seats on a 2002 Honda crv. my driver door won't unlock so I need to get to the door panel. Thanks! Neil

At least you can practice on the passenger seat first.

Firstly most modern car seats have at least one wiring connector underneath. Sometimes it is possible to disconnect first and sometimes it is easier to unbolt the seat first and gently tilt it backwards for greater access.

There will typically be at least one bolt at each corner, possibly two and these days there is often some cover trim to remove for access. The seat is then moved as far forward as possible to release the rear bolts and then moved rearwards to release the front bolts. Sometimes there isn't much room and backache is the result...

When refitting, run all the bolts home and then move the seat backwards and forwards several times during the final tightening.

Who do I remove rear seat for a BMW 760li?

Most rear seats need to be unlatched from the very bottom on each side. Try sliding the driver and passenger seats fully forward. With your back against the front seat press forward toward the trunk on the bottom of the rear seat on one corner at a time near the floor and lift up. This should release the latch. To replace the seat simply slide the seat back into place with the front slightly raised upward and push the seat in toward the trunk then push down til you hear the latch catch.

How do I remove the middle bucket seats?

Do they have a "T" like handle in front under seat? If so, lift handle and pull it forward to unlatch. Then lift seat slightly and slide it back to release rear catches. Hopefully they are still same as my 99.

Rear seatbelts jammed down backseats

hello tracieandmia, I am assuming that the seatbelt buckles are just underneath the seat. The rear seat bottem can be removed for access. If you reach under the front part of the seat bottem near each corner and lift up, the seat will release. You will need to give it a little yank and use a little force for it to release. Once each corner is released you can remove the seat bottem. To install the seat, slide it back under the seat back and push hard down on each front corner that you had previuosly pulled up at. You should hear a definite click/lock sound when the catches are locked.

The back seat not going up .

The double seat actually gets caught on the bottom of the second row seat cover. If you move the second row middle seat forward a couple of inches it will release the rear folding seat and allow it to return to the upright position. You can also reach inside the back seat and push the seat cover ( which by the way has a metal bar in it ) forward to release the rear seat.
