SOURCE: we have a daihatsu independent 4 x 4 rocky 1993.
you may have to take it to a dealer unfortunately, they had to use a pnuematic drill to get mine out

SOURCE: we have a daihatsu rocky 4 x 4 independent. having
ensure trans is in 4h and lockinghub control handle is in FREE position. raise vehicle and remove front wheels. remove caliper and locing hub cover. remove snapring and locking hub. remove outer wheel bearing lock nut,lock plate and adjusting nut. remove bearing and disc. remove oil seal from hub and remove inner bearing.

The following procedure may be used to remove shoes on either side of the vehicle.

Adjustment
This vehicle is equipped with permanently sealed rear wheel bearings. There is no periodic lubrication or maintenance recommended for these units.
