Why does my ECM-I fuse keeps blowing?

Did you check the crank sensor wire, it may be hitting the hot exhaust. does the wire going to fuel pump have a problem and is shorting out. ECM 1 ..... then there are 5 components that this fuse feeds
1-crank sensor
2- all injectors
3- ECM
4- electronic ignition control module
5- ignition coil - check for a bad wire in these areas. Hope this helps.

Chevy van g20 year 1994 the battery dies has new battery and new alternator but each morning its dead need to charge the battery need help have any ideas and please talk problem please

Does the battery light work when you switch the ignition on? This provides a live feed to the alternator via the ignition bulb, the rotor needs a live feed to start the charge process, if the bulb has blown it won't charge (thin wire connected to the IND on the alternator). To check for a power drain, disconnect the negative battery lead put a AMP meter in series, (DON'T TRY TO START, YOU WILL BLOW THE METER). If you get a reading above 0.05amps (clock) you have a drain, pull the fuses one at a time and watch for a drop in the meter reading. Hope this helps.

Have a problem with my car chevy van g20 the battery is new and the alternater the car runs all day but when the next day comes the battery is dies and i have to charge the battery help with some idea

You have something draining power that should be switched off, or a short to ground in the wiring. If you disconnect the battery it will probably still be charged in the morning.
Someone would need to pull fuses and disconnect components to find the power drain while watching the battery with a meter.

Ecm fuse location 2001 chevy astro van

The power for the data link connector is from a 25amp fuse Number 7 in the IP fuse box. As long as the check engine light is on the computer has power.
The main computer power is from two ECM fuses in the box near the battery.
The fuse locations should be in the back of your owners manual.

Hello I own a 1988 ford e150 van 302 5.0 efi. The serpentine belt went out while driving.towed the van home replaced belt.The battery was put in backwards... Now the van turns over but does not start...

You can find owners manuals being sold for about everything on ebay. A manual will answer the lion's share of the problems posed on this board, most folks on here are just too lazy to read them. However an owners manual is not going address an issue of what happens when you connect the battery backwards. All manner of electrical contraptions could have been damaged by the mistake. You are going to have to track them down one by one or have an auto electrical shop take a close look at it. That however may exceed the value of the car. The Saturday morning NPR car guys, Bob and Ray, recently advised someone in a similar situation to scrap the vehicle and move on. You can also buy service manuals on CD over on ebay and what I would do if I wanted to save the vehicle is buy one of those and use the wiring schematic to pull all fuses out disabling and disconnecting all circuits. Inspect all wiring to make sure none of the wires melted and welded to frame or other wires. Then install the fuses only for the ignition system and necessary circuits to keep the engine running. Then at least you are only working on and replacing the components within that circuit. If you can do that then you can enable one circuit at a time by inserting the fuse and hopefully finding and replacing all burnt cookies. Hope this gave you some ideas. Good luck

The battery on my 1996 Saab 900 died one day and when I replaced it with a new battery the radio was no longer working. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe G

There is a 4 digit code that you must enter to get the radio working again. You should have a plastic credit card sized card with the 4 digit code printed on it; if you don't have this card and the number is not written down anywhere on the owner's manual then the number should be on the back of the radio itself. When you turn on the radio the info screen should ask you to enter a code.....if you can't find the code in any of the places I listed I believe you can get it from the dealer. Hope this helps!

Radio lock

Try this if it works to your unit;

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

hope this may help;
