02 impala.. AC Issue?

You either need to change the throttle position sensor or the gas pedal I got a 2008 Impala I had to put a new gas pedal in in so it would function properly

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Do you have the 3.4 or 3.8? If its the 3.4, they had issues with the fuel pressure regulators getting funky. I had to replace one on mine twice before the car had 150K.

STUPID!!!!!!!!!

I had the same on my 3.8L 2002 Impala. Right arround 3500-4000rpms with moderate to high acceleration; shaking and bucking. With light acceleration, it seemed OK. And no "check engine" light.
It was the MAF sensor. I ended up replacing it, but it was pretty expensive $150+?
You might try cleaning yours first with MAF spray cleaner.

It is located on the throttle body under the engine cover.

I was working on the a/c so some other parts were removed.

I have the same car, I had my car fixed at the dealer. The problem is the ignition lock cylinder (where the key goes). It cost me about $340 (parts and labor). What has happened is that the cylinder is not sending the info to the starter to start the car. I guarantee you this is your problem too.
