Sounds like a dry joint in the circuit somewhere - possibly the power in/out join by the sounds of it. When the temp heats up, it expands and then makes a good connection, but when cold, it contacts and lifts off the circuit board. Common problem with electronics.

SOURCE: Outside temperature display on rear view mirror

Here are the instructions to reset flashing airbag light, the instructions are for an Armada but I believe it will work on all Nissan models of this period. It wont hurt to give it a try. If that doesn't work you may have a problem that should be looked at by your local Dealer.

>>>
1. Turn the key from off to on.

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

SOURCE: Brake light, oil temperature light and battery light are on

Wow, 3 problems, did the lights come on one at a time or all at once? How long has each been on? 1st thing is to check fluid levels-brake, & oil. You may damage the vehicle if you continue to drive it. The brake light means a malfunction in the system, or low brake fluid. If the level is low, adding should turn the light off. You then need to check to see where the system is leaking. Oil temp light, or is it just oil light? This will go on when you basically have no oil in the engine, or the oil pump has failed, both very bad. Battery light indicates the vehicle is not charging the battery. Check the drive belt, did it break? This could cause a bunch of lights to go on. Let me know the answers to the above, so I can help to refine my answer.

What temp should the fans come on in a 2000 corvette

Usually fans come on when engine temperature reaches around 90 degrees Celcius. In cold weather it is possible that the thermo fans do not kick in. if the fans are not kicking in when they should it would be a sensor relay fault or the fans have given up the ghost.

For bdjenn, I have a 94 850 non turbo with similar problem. You might need to replace the fuel pump relay. Part costs about $50, is located next to fuse box. Also, check the thermostat in the air box under the air filter. The thermostat costs about $20 and often goes bad. When not working, it fails to shut off the hot air and doesn't let cooler, outside air in. Many people just remove the thermostat and fix the cool air intake to stay in the open position. This could be a problem in the winter if you live in a cold climate.

When air comes on it goes to windshield then later to floor before coming out the front vents what would cause this?

Hi there,

There are 2 types of Air-conditioning fitted to vehicles:

1) Manual Air - this is where you turn your temp dial to either Cold (Blue) or Hot (Red) and the heater will continue produces the same temperature at all times, until you manually change the setting.

2) Auto/Climate Air-conditioning - this is the INTELLIGENT aircon system, with many sensors placed around the car's interior. This system allows you to select your desired temperature in degrees (e.g. 18 deg C). Once you have chosen your desired temperature, the system then measures the inside temp at each sensor location. The sensor readings are sent back to your aircon computer and this is where the magic happens:

The computer then directs a priority airflow to the areas of your vehicle which would enable the system to reach 18 degrees, in the shortest possible time (this is why airflow changes between various vent outlets). As the system approaches your desired temperature, you will notice the airflow will slow down just enough to maintain a comfortable 18 deg - this is why they call it CLIMATE aircon.

However, if you choose to override the vent direction (i.e. selecting face vents only), they system will take a couple of seconds to respond to your command.

Cheers,

My fan is blowing but there is no heat coming out of the vents

Feel the hoses going into and out of the heater core. They should both be hot. There may be a 20 or 30 degree difference in temperature, but both should feel very hot to the touch. If one is really hot and the other just feels warm, the heater core is probably clogged. If you have access to an infrared thermometer, taking the temperature of the hoses is the best way to check this.
If both hoses feel "Warm" at idle and get really hot when the throttle is cracked open for a short period (20-30 Seconds ), the water pump may be the problem.
Hope this helps Give feedback FixYa

2005 F 150 A/C just won't keep the cab cool.

sounds like a compessor problem, it would have to be about 120 degrees outside for 47 degrees at the vent- should be around 30-35 degrees at the vent. sounds like the compressor is only working when its under load-which usually indicates internal failure
