I put water in and it runs out, cant see where its leaking from.there is no water in the oil. I have put all new gaskets on and put back together put water in and it still run right back out from under the intake manifold, it fills up the vally underneath and runs out both sides of the motor. and im stumped...?
SOURCE: it is leaking oil from
If it is just a gasket, the cost is not a lot-gaskets generally are very inexpensive, compared to the COST of installing that gasket-that is what makes the repair expensive. You don't say what engine you have, and your description is too vague to pinpoint what is at fault, but if you have a oil leak from the intake manifold gasket, and this is a mini-van, you are looking at a repair of a few hundred dollars for a number of reasons. Difficulty to work on a mini-van (cramped space), parts including the gasket, like oil, filter, antifreeze, possibly hoses and belts, and most importantly, labor. I should take a decent mechanic a few hours to replace an intake manifold, so I seriously doubt you could get this done for less than $250-300.
