The number one cylinder is on the side of the engine facing the passenger side of the car, and is the one closest to the front of the car.

How do you set the timeing on a 91 ltd crown victoria?

on all cars bring piston to top dead center on the #1 piston... install distributor with rotor cap pointing 2 the number one position on the cap , install wires turn car on and take a timing light (must have tool) and use as per direction, set timing by turning the distributor till it reaches the right number or tab see front of motor crank pulley and tab on block. if you have a crank trigger the timing will be factory set and if u install new distributor , it will set automatically. if this is to confusing u need to see a mechanic .sorry
