regulator most likely. Need to check fuel pressure both when running and after a stall. My guess is 20 lbs when it starts, 0 after it stalls. Replace that fuel filter also.

SOURCE: 2005 Ford F 150 It does start.and trys to run not getting fuel i

Check your owners manual, it shows a picture of the fuel pump inertia switch, just in front of the cab fuse panel.
Take a look at the passenger side kick panel, you will see a thumb hole to remove the cover, and expose the fuse panel ( with the cover on ) and the fuel inertia switch towards the front of the truck.

The other thing to check ( after trying the fuel inertia switch ) is the fuel pump driver module.
This is on the cross member where the spare tire is located.

Lower the spare tire, and you will see it towards the drivers side frame rail.
Here is a picture of what mine looked like prior to replacing it.

The new kit includes new stand off studs, so the FPDM is not directly on the cross member

Ford had a lot of problems with this engine. Most diagnosis requires a factory software scanner or one that can interface with the FICM module (fuel injector control module) Now you can perform injector buzz test and glow plug tests. If you can get running then also do a power balance test these test check fuel injectors statically and dynamically with the common rail oil pressure control sensor. These FICM modules are famous failure parts. Napa auto can get them.

2003 F250 Super Duty diesel 6.0 needs multiple tries to start.

Are you getting white smoke or no smoke from the exhaust after failed start attempts?
When the FICM was replaced, did Ford check the glow plugs and injectors for proper operation?
Are you using an engine oil heating element or is the engine dead cold when this happens?
How long does the engine run the first and second start attempts before it stalls and dies?

Hi there own a ford f350 2004 6.0 power stroke it's starting smoking heavily White and smells as if it's unspent diesel it I have replaced EGR cooler and valve as thy were deleted runs lumpy but still got...

This could be the FICM or the injectors. If you have a code reader, it can help determine if its the FICM. You can also check out this thread
You are probably already aware of all the 6.0 problems. It does sound like a fuel issue. The injectors are unfortunately a problem and very sensitive(don't ever run out of gas). If one injector is bad or going bad, truck will run rough at idle but once rpms get up, the truck will seem to run better. When 2 or more injectors go bad, truck will barely run. In either case, power will be very low at lower rpms.
thanks let me know if this helps

Died wont start turns over and trys to fire but acts like its not getting fuel?

Yep you better check for fuel. add some to the air intake and see if it starts and dies. if it does the fuel pump might not be running as the ECC relay turns the system on and also the fuel pump relay then the incheria switch may may open and theres no power to the fuel pump

Vehicle will not start. Starter turns over, but

Are you getting good spark? Fuel pump? I know you changed your fuel filters, but can you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key just one click - (not all the way to start it)? OR
"There are quite a few things that might be causing your problem but the first thing I would do is have your electrical system checked out. Sometimes a bad alternator can stop charging your battery and cause this kind of problem. Even though the battery has enough voltage to turn things on it might not have enough to start the car. Most auto parts stores will test your electrical system for free. You can also check your battery cable connections and terminals. If they are corroded or loose it can cause this type of problem. There are other things that it could be but that is the most likely."

06 f250 6.0l hard starting, have to spin a long time, skips

with proper scan tool check FICM fuel injector control module main power should be 47 volts key on engine off 47.5 engine running if not replace FICM it has an internal problem also there may be a reflash available for drivability issues at the ford dealer this is not uncommon for 2004-2006 6.0s. keep me posted goodluck!

2005 F250 won`t start

You can get the wiring diagram at and it will have all the codes and will have the information to test before you order the parts, also have you replaced the fuel pump? fuel sock? it also has two pumps a primary and the secondary check for fuel rail pressure, to test injector remove injector wire and test with digital ohm meter test the power post of the injector to ground. if it read 5 ohms or less it is ok. Have you checked the glow pulgs and glow plug timer is it stuck on removing power from injectors, need more information to give you a better answer.
