My car will not start but I try to start it I hear a clicking sound coming from under the dash near the steering wheel and the radio and clock light go off and back on agagin.
The radio and accessory going off is normal in start mode.
I hope it’s an automatic. If not check the clutch pedal switch.
1. Move the shifter to neutral and park.
2 check for an aftermarket alarm under the dash.
3. Bad starter is the last thing to check.
Of all these I lean to an alarm under the dash.
Check your battery clean your terminals and check your starter and solenoid for worn or corroded wires

sounds like you blew a fuse. Check lighter ,radio and interior light fuses, with a test light

you may have to disconnect the battery for a minute or so ,this will reset the alarm. check your remote it does have a battery in it. otherwise you have to look for a fuse somewhere under the dash close to the fuse box.each one is diff. depending if it original toyota or aftermarket alarm.

there is a fuse box under the dash on the drivers side. it is very hard to reach. it is located above your left knee when you are seated in the drivers seat. lay on your back, look up under the dash, use flashlight. The lid for the fuse box has a diagram showing which fuse goes to the radio.
SOURCE: My 2006 Toyota Corolla won't start. When I turn
Car batteries are very powerful. It's not uncommon for lights and radios to work eventhough the battery is too weak to turn over the engine.
I would try to find someone to give you a jump start. This would atleast help determine if the battery/charging system is the problem.
If it does jump start, let it idle for 10 minutes or so, then turn the engine off and try to start without a jump start. If it does start that would mean that the alternator is working properly. But, if it doesn't start you could have a bad alternator.
If you are able to get the car to a parts place most of them offer a free diagnostic test on batteries and alternators.
I hope this is helpful.

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.
Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.
