Windscreen washer leaks on road when filling?? Could this damage the engine if driven??

check under the bonnet. look for white plastic container with a lid with a windscreen symbol on it. fill with windscreen washer fluid,or just water. Do not confuse with the oil filler cap or the radiator cap !

if the washers are still not working then check the fust as this may have blown, as for the extra plugs you will find that this wiring loom is used on all astra models and they will be for things not fitted on your model hope this helps you josh

lift hood, find the lid with a pic of a windsheild wiper pour washer fluid in until full

there is usually a white bottle somewhere near the base of the windshield on the passengers side and it has a snapoff lid that usually has a sign or words about the window on it..washer fluid only(not water in cold weather) water freezes and will damage the entire system..window cleaner is usually blue and the more expensive stuff is a yellow/green color.. both work fine although the more expensive stuff cuts through the brine spray from treated roads much better..your choice..

that your windscreen washer bottle is low on fluid .you need to fill it up.otherwise you will not have anything there to wash your windscreen with when driving

If the washer reservoir is frozen, it must have been filled with plain water. It should be filled with washer fluid. Washer fluid contains alcohol to prevent freeze up. To locate the washer reservoir, look for the filler cap, it will say washer fluid on the cap.

check the windscreen washer strainer it could be glogged up or it coud be a faulty windscreen motor pump.

I would look take off the front bumper wrap and see if there is a leak somewhere in the plumbing to the headlight washers, etc. I had this problem.

unless your van is different than my 2006 sl you fill it under the hood in the washer fill (passenger side). If the rear doesn't work it sounds like a clogged line.
