SOURCE: my honda civic start normaly, but after few minute start losing power
Several causes possible.
Carburattor or injection type?
Carburator >> auto choke faulty.
Carburator >> mixture very wrong adjusted
Drawning carburator (needle/floater)
Distributor weights cannot move (dirt/rust spring broken)
Very dirty airfilter, or clogged airfilter
Faulty ignition cap. Check contacts, especially middle one if oldfashioned and nonelectronical.
Ignition timing set incorrectly.
Fuel pump broken.
Fuel filter blocked almost.
Vacuum line damaged.
Exhaust internally clogged by loose plate (corrossion) (potato in tailpipe effect).
And very seldom, water or diesel.
And a list of a lot of other things.

Check spark plugs and all related cables, fuel hoses, fuel filter (change if black but make sure lines and fuel tank are clean first), and air filter. If blank spots are experienced when power is lost completely then firing of spark plugs may be the issue. Possibly also related to insufficient fuel reaching combustion chamber. The alternator is dying...
It is not charging your battery. Don't use your headlights (big power drain) until you have the electrical checked.
AutoZone will analyze (free) w/o removing alternator (IN-CAR test)
