SOURCE: resetting maintainance light on a 2008 Scion xD

To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn't come on yet), you'll need to turn your key to on (but don't start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don't start the engine!) The display panel will count down from "------" to "-"Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done.

Here can find one video about this procedure: Youtube vj7kK5i2tPc

I hope helps with this (remembe rated this help) Good luck.

SOURCE: were is the oil filter

2008 Scion xD oil filter is a cartridge (element only) type. It is located under a heavy, black plastic cap right next to the oil drain plug. To remove the cap, you will need a Toyota "Special Service Tool" or an Assenmacher Specialty Tools "TOY640" or similar cap wrench. Toyota is the only source for the oil filter element; make sure you get a new o-ring (should be in the box with the filter element) and a new drain plug gasket.

as long as you keep your outside diameter the same, you can use a rang of sizes. check with your tire tire size and call a tire shop. they will give you a list of sizes still within your diameter.

SOURCE: were do i find my oil filter on my 2008 scion xd

Scion XD's are of a choice few that uses a Drop in filter as opposed to screw on types.

The filter housing is on the passenger side of the oil pan. The filter housing unscrews counter clockwise. Just put an oil pan underneath to catch the little bit of oil that leaks out. Pull the filter element out of the cartridge housing. Put the new filter element into the housing, remove the old O-ring on the filter housing, replace the O-ring on the filter element housing that is provided with the "new" filter element. It's always a good idea to lightly coat that new O-ring with motor oil before putting it on the housing, providing a better seal. Then with the new O-ring and filter element installed in the filter housing, just screw it on clockwise. It's really not much different than the old style screw-on type filters. The only place, so far, that sells the Xd element that I am aware of is Toyota. They are about $6 a piece. On a difficulty scale of 1 -10, I would declare this a (1.5). (1) being a regular screw-on type filter, and (1.5) for the cartridge type filter on the Xd.

Go to DenLors Tools.com and order the "ASTTOY640" It's 29 dollars, but it fits like a glove and works well. Threads ARE NOT left-handed. Just take off counter clockwise.

How to find and clear a/c drain in 2008 Scion XD?

Install a cabin filter. You have to remove the glove box to access the filter's home, but once you do this, the filter will catch all the crud that cloggs the system. It is very easy to install the cabin filter in a Scion XD. Just go to Pep Boys or your local parts store and get the filter. They cost about $15.00 and check out the video on youtube.com "Scion Xd cabin filter".

I am looking for info on how to replace the cabin air filter in a 2008 Scion XD, a how to guide or instructions. I replaced the cabin filter in a Subaru and Mazda.

instructions should be in your owners manual. generally you remove the glove box and remove a plastic cover for air filter. Pull out filter, noting the direction of flow on the filter, push in the new filter and button everything up.

2008 Scion XD

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine oil, oil filter, and air filter changes, tire rotation, brake and strut inspection, and maybe a cabin air filter change. Look in your owner's manual near the back - each service should be spelled out in there so you don't go in unprepared.
