You can take out the inter wheel well fender or guard I forgot what they call it. remove the tire and you can get to the bolts a lot easier. when you take out the inter fender you may be able to get to the dent from the fender wheel well. if not and you need to remove the fender you will find bolts under the hood along the top of the finder edge. there is one under the cow as well right close to where the fender connects to the suv by front door. you will also find bolts that hold it to the front bumper I believe. you might have to look around to see if there is more. I just replaced my fender on my 2003 expedition about a month ago. you can get them on line for about $75. also I just remembered there are like 3 bolts that you can get to right by the front door running down to the trim piece on the bottom of fender. good luck

SOURCE: How do you remove the front passenger door panel

Should be 1 screw in the outer side at the top, 2 screws on the very bottom and then there is 2 screws in middle underneath the handle covered by a piece of plastic! Then left up on the panel and it will slide off!

SOURCE: front door panel removal

There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.

A guy was trying to pound out a dent in my driver side front fender. When he was done, my power window won't work. What would be under that fender connected to my driver window allowing to to go up and...

The wiring to the door passes from the A pillar into the door and in both the plug-in door and the hard wired type broken wires and bad connections are far from unknown, usually on the driver side.

Manufacturers should use extra-flexible wire but they don't with the consequence of wires breaking and especially in winter the stiffness of the door harness placing extra strain on the plug/socket of plug in doors.

I doubt the wiring was damaged by the panel beating though the extra vibration could have finished producing a fault that was already well advanced.
Only some hands-on checking will confirm this.

How can I fix a dent on the side of my car?

It depends a lot on the area the dent is in, the size and if the paint is cracked, damaged or scraped off. If the dent is on a body line, its going to take a lot more to fix it, if its in an open flat area without any sharp creases, you can many times do some paintless dent repair and bend it back into shape. This is the least expensive method.

If its a fender that can be removed, many shops now get a replacement fender and paint it to match. When you match paint, you generally need to blend the surrounding fenders/hood/body to get it to look right. There is a lot of skill involved with paint matching and the application of paint. Unless you have a shop and the equipment to spray it, you would need to get someone with experience to apply the paint so it looks right.

The 3rd option to repair the dent is to get a body hammer set, with a dolly/flat hammer etc and pound the dent as close to its original position as possible, then use a body filler and sand it. This part could save you money if you want to choose and have someone paint it. Or if its an old car, you could have the paint matched with the car and put in an aerosol can where you could spray it on yourself. Its not going to be perfect by a long shot, but certainly better than a big ugly dent thats been repaired and primered

2009 Chevy Aveo Passenger Side Fender Dent!

easily push it out? Probably not. If you pry against the door, you risk damaging the metal on that. Take it to a body shop and pay them to move it out enough so you can use your door. That won't cost much

Damaged plastic liner of wheel well rubs on tire when driving over bumps

Even if you popped the dent out, the liner may not fit back on tightly. They are usually held by plastic clips or plastic pins or even plastic screws that easily get distorted, or the hole they are held with gets enlarged from tearing. You could keep the liner up with a couple of machine screws drilled into strategic places....or, you could just remove the liner-it's not a safety issue-it just helps keep mud and dirt from building up in the wheel wells and fender corners. To remove it, first take the wheel off. Then you can see how it is held on Pull it off and throw it away.
If you pop the dent out and fender looks pretty good, and the liner appears it can be re-used with just a little help, all the better.
It;s up to you.

My husband hit the drivers side of the fender it has come loose so it rubs on tire how do you put it back on right?

You can use self tapping screws to get it back on, or remove the fender by removing the bolts under hood, mudflap and bumper, then pound the dent out and make it straight again. Or just try and pound it straight.

1994 Mercury Topaz Fender Removal

Harbor Freight and most local body shop supply stores should have a suction-cup type tool for pulling out dents. You maybe able to remove the inner fender well to get to the dent. To remove the fender, you'll need to remove the top fender bolts, the bolts that attach it to the header panel, and the bolts holding it on back by the door.
