Noise sounds like police sirens in the distance

I had the same problem at about the same mileage. Replaced the power steering pump and the start up screaming went away! ( The Jeep's and mine!)

hey plinio7,
Having been a jag tech for the last two years, this noise could be a million different things.
But If your sure that its not the wheel bearings then this is where i would start.
I had a few cases where the front diff. was making the noise, the best way to fine out if that is the problem is try to get all four tires off the ground. Start it and put it in drive, and put a longer screw drive or pry bar from the case to your ear. If its very lound then that is your problem.
Let me know what you fine thanks

It sounds as though your alternator bearing is about to fail. Take a long screwdriver and carefully place it on the center of the body of the alternator, away from the spinnig fan. Place your ear on the screwdriver handle and listen for any bearing growling sounds. This is most likely your problem.

Misalignment of the belt, incorrect belt, worn or loose tensioner, Too tight of an adjustment (many service centers do this on purpose so when the belt breaks in it becomes properly adjusted, I do not believe in this philosophy), The belt is actually one long belt called a serpentine belt.....
