I need the door lock code location for my 2004 Town Car
I bought a used 2004 Lincoln Town car and do not have the code to the door lock keypad. I think I remember hearing that it is printed on a module someplace in the trunk. Any info would be appreciated.

1. Enter 5-digit permanent entry code into the keyless entry keypad. 2. Within 5 seconds of pressing last button of code, press the 1/2 button. All doors will lock then unlock confirming you are in programming mode. 3. Press any button on first Keyless Remote within 5 seconds of pressing the 1/2 button. Locks will cycle to indicate succesful programming. 4. If you are programming more than one Keyless Remote (Including any exsiting remotes) Press any button on second keyless remote within 5 seconds of previous remote. Locks will cycle again to indicate succesfull programming. (If the keypad light goes out before all remotes are programmed the entire process must be repeated). 5. Press the 7/8 and the 9/0 buttons simultaneously on the keypad to exit program mode.
Pretty simple really. all you need to do is enter your code into the keypad located on the vehicle (the code to unlock and lock the doors/the normal code you always use). Then press the 1/2 button on the keypad. then just press one button on the remote. Your doors should lock and unlock to let you know the programming was a success. If you are doing more then one remote press the other ones within i think 5 seconds to program that remote as well. I hope this helps and good luck.
A little secret to finding the code for keypad. Open the trunk. There should be a sticker on one of the trunk hinge arms with numbers on it. If you locate that sticker, there is the code for the keypad.
The code is on a paper label attached to a large plastic box containing several wiring harnesses behind the driver side door panel. Posts about it being on the trunk hinge arms, behind trunk panels, on computer module, behind the fuse box, and 'you have to go to the dealer' are incorrect for this series of Town Cars. After you remove the panel (you do not need to disconnect any wires), you will see the box up near the rear view mirror. An example code (3/4) (1/2) (5/6) (9/0) (1/2). If you press the keypad buttons in this order, left to right, the door locks will operate in the manner described in your opwner's manual.
Do a search on door panel removal to learn how to remove the panel. There are some good posts on this topic - some even have pictures.
you will probbably have to get someone with a kit to open doors most AAA drivers will be able to open doors. After that open trunk on hinge there shuold be a label with 5 numbers that will be your keypad code if it haqs not been changed.
Remove the driver door panel. You will have to remove the two screws that hold the door closing strap and the one screw behing the interior driver door handle. Gently pull the door panel off by first lifting the panel over the manual lock/ unlock nipple/ shaft. The module is located at the top right corner of the driver door.
Enter the five digit permanent entry code into keyless entry keypad.
Within five seconds of pressing last button of permanent code, press the 1/2 button within five seconds of pressing the last button of the permanent code. (Factory code found on the module).
Enter any alternate five digit code within five seconds of pressing 1/2 button.
Enter a sixth digit as follows to indicate operator's memory seat setting to be set by alternate code:
9/0-- no memory recall 1/2-- memory seat position 1 314-- memory seat position 2 5/6-- memory seat position 3
After successful programming, the doors will signal by locking and then unlocking.
The Keyless Entry Module is located inside the drivers side door.
Try clear silicone spray in the window runs. They are the felt covered channel that the window glass moves up and down in- make sure to spray enough so the lube gets down inside the runs that are inside the door. Keyless problem need more info- Can you lock doors by hitting last 2 buttons together? If so hit 1 button at a time to see if makes keypad light up- If one button does not keypad needs replacement. Also double check number- Alot of people will put their own codes in system. If battery loses power or is disconnected that code will be forgotten and factory code will only work- Factory code should be on a sticker on the right side trunk hinge arm.
