My alfa mito drivers wing mirror has come off its bracket, how does it fit back om

look at latch if in closed position use a screw driver onto latch space use key or release and pull screwdriver down opening latch ---if latch just floats or is bent or failed replace

They just twist out. Use pliers if you have to. And yes, some just don't want to come out. Plus there is an O ring seal. These get stuck.Spray a bit of lube in it. makes it easier out and back in. Keep the bulb clean though.

its 1 of 2 things.
1: wrong mirror.
2: or not reading the FSM.

it may be the mirror , needs to be totally dismantled.
and with no photos posted, this is impossible to tell.

your mirror control switch has 9 wires.,your drivers door mirror has 5 wires color coded .from your mirror control switch to your drivers siide mirror / 0.5 black .0.5 brown. 0.5 brown. 0.5 black. 0.5 black.
your passenger mirror wires are 0.5 blue/black .0.5 blue/grey. 0.5 blue/white. the passenger mirror has a ground cable 0.5 brown.
the passenger mirror wire 0.5 green/white connects to a 5amp fuse/F25 onto F31 5amp to a wire 0.75 green/yellow.back to the mirror control switch.

U need to press again the piston whilst turning it clockwise to retract the piston to it's rest position.

Hello Darren, there is not special tools required.Just open the plastic cover from inside/against the mirror and you will see 2 or 3 bolts with 5 mm Allan key head.Good luck

If the glass broke when it fell out any windshield repair shop can make and install a new mirror. If it didn't break go to the hardware store and get a squeeze tube of bathtub silicone sealer and a roll of black electrical tape if you don't have any. Run a bead of silicone around the edge of the mirror back and a few dots in the center. Stay in about a 1/2 inch so it wont bleed out when you press it on. Using a couple of blocks of wood or plastic or anything non-metallic on the mirror face, make 2 or 3 wraps around the mirror and mirror bracket with the black tape. Stretch the tape as you wrap to put some tension on it but not real tight, just snug. Do this on both ends of the mirror and leave it for a day to let the silicon set up and cure. Then remove the tape and shims and you shouldn't have any more problems with that mirror. Hope this helps.

hi you will find there is a small bracket that also secures the h/lamp assy it is attached to the inner wing between the head lamp and inner wing if you feel? or use a small mirror? you will need a 10mm socket/extension/+wratchet to fit the bolt which connects the inner wing bracket to the h/lamp bracket then lamp will come out ps you can replace h/lamp and indicator bulbs without removal of lamp itself

TO FIT A NEW MIRROR FIRST CONNECT THE WIRING PLUGS THEN ENSURE THE FRICTION PIN ON THE BACK OF MIRROR ENGAGES IN THE SLOT (OUTER EDGE OF MIRROR) PRESS FIRMLY AT THE CENTRE OF THE MIRROR TO ENGAGE THE RETAINING CLIP....IF YOU NEED TO REMOVE MIRROR INSERT A FLAT TOOL BEHIND THE LOWER EDGE AND LEVER IT FROM THE CLIPS..
