make sure it does not have local defeat mode (settings feature)
to keep passenger at bay, (kids) or force them to listen to CCR
most times steering fails for bad clockspring, or switches.

it seems as a OEM radio so get the cars uses guide for free googing that and read all setting to find if there is local defeat

CCR stand for Computer Controlled Ride. If this light is on there is a problem with the system.

Not too sure that I know waht you are referring to, but there is a compressor clutch relay (CCR?) located in a riveted relay box that is directly under your air filter. I have had this go out on a couple of my excorts, the freon levels are normal, but my compressor won't turn on...this is a VERY easy and cheap (~$5). Go to the Ford Escort Owner's Association website...

did you change the cap and rotor if so check to make sure you didnt cross a spark plug wire when putting new wires on

In the trunk......near ABS module....wire with green connector.

If no spark you might try a dist. module
