Extremely rare for an electrical problem, best way to approach this problem is to call a few transmission shops and the dealer just to pick there minds ,they talk for free. in the worse case, get a good used transmission at a local junk yard with some sort of warranty.

Get it towed to a transmission shop or other and have it installed or even for a better price have a non-trans place do it. u should come in under a 1000.00. think about replacing the car very seriously! You have a 7R4 trans not a good transmission known for problems. I've replaced many of them! Rebuilding is way out in price and will fail after rebuilt, I would bet on it.

I have these codes reading now po700 po335 and po727 any idea what to check first on 03 kia sorento. my car lost power then shut off, then wouldn't start

p0335 is a crank shaft sensor error. This sensor is what tells the ECM when to send spark to plugs. That is why it wont start.

What could cause transmission to lose all power in a 98 pontiac trans sport montana?

this is a common issue either the torque convertor has broken inside or the input shell inside the transmission has broken , this usually happens in units that have a lot of miles on them or have a less than normal maintenance record , you will either have to have it rebuilt or replaced

Sometime back car while driving on hwy lost some power & almost could not get to the shoulder.. had it towed and i thought they replaced a electrical part down buy the transmission... do you have any...

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

There are lot of things that can cause this issue. Mostly electrical sensors on the engine and transmission. If the replacement was good then there shouldn't be problem but there must be something else failing.

To know the fault, I strongly suggest that you get an engine scan. During the diagnostic it will list the fault codes and by then you'll know the part to be replaced.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Lost transmission

Can you check to see the transmission oil. See the quality of the oil, if there is antifreeze/water in it. It is possible that the antifreeze has entered the transmission and caused the transmission failure.
This is likely to be a cause of the radiator. The transmission oil cooler lines pass through the radiator and sometimes fail, causing antifreeze to pass into the transmission oil cooler pipes and then into the transmission, causing faults.
If this is the case, then you will have to replace the radiator. Repair or replace the transmission.
Hope this helps
