Water leaking from under the glove box

Just the other day I noticed water dripping from under the glove box. I was told it might be a clogged ac drain. Where is that located?

Under the cowl grille where your wiper arms are located is a cabin air filter usually water leaks in from there stick a dollar bill between door and weatherstrip close door and check for slight tension. if bill pulls out without any pressure at all, it could very well be there. make sure you go up down and all around the door

Why is there water leaking under the dash

If it's leaking near the glove box, it's probably the heater.
If it leaks at the foot of the driver it may be a clogged drain near the windshield wipers under the hood. Also could be a clogged drain around the sun roof.
First you can test the drains with a cup of water poured in the drain holes. You should see the water draining out under the car, usually near the tires.
They can be cleaned out with a little bit of air from a compressor.
Hope this helps.

1993 Toyota Corolla Dx: driving over labor day weekend, had the AC on for longer than i've normally had it on and noticed water on my passenger side floor mat. Then i looked and it was leaking from...

The drain on your evaporator core housing is most likely plugged. Condensation on the evaporator core drips down into the plastic housing and drips onto the ground through a hose on the firewall on the
passenger side.

Find the small hose on the firewall in the engine compartment. You should be able to pull off that
hose and see if its stopped up. If the hose is ok, you may need to remove some of the ac ducts
under the dash to get to the evaporator core housing to unclog the drain hole.

I have no doubt that thats the problem.

After a heavy down pour I noticed a large amount of water dripping from behind the glove box. Do I have a clogged drain?

The two drain holes in the compartment beneath the wipers are plugged with debris. Take off wipers.
2. Take of plastic panel under wipers. 3. Clear crud away from drain holes. Pour water in there afterward to make sure it drains properly..You will see it come out the bottom under the car.
4. Clean out any other leaves hope this will hlp you

Went on 1.5hr trip when I noticed water dripping down on the pass side floorboard. Pulled the glove box and noticed a ton of condensation on the a/c box (condensing coil?). 2005 Exp V8. About at the same...

There is a condensation drainage tube that runs from the condenser to the bottom of the vehicle. I would assume this tube was clogged by somthing and the excess water was building up and decreasing the efficiency of the a/c. I would remove the drainage line at the bottom of the ac condenser and make sure nothing is blocking the drainage. Hope this helps!

Gets water on passenger side floor when A.C. is on. 2003 grand prix GTP

Your AC drain is clogged. If you look near the floor under the dash on the passenger side you will find a small rubber hose that goes thru the floor board. Take the hose off and clean it out. You will find that it is clogged with dirt. Once it is cleaned out hook it back up under the dash. You will notice that if the car is running with the AC on, you will be able to see water dripping on the passenger side under the car that will mean you cleaned the hose out and it is working.

Water leaks from behind glove box onto floor

Three things can cause this.A leaking heater core, leaking windshield(when it rains,or has been washed),and sometimes not often the AC drain plug can be clogged.I would go with the heater core, look under the dash you will see a black plastic box with 8mm screws about 6-10 of them remove them from the bottom first and gently pull on the cover you should get water running out.Replace the heater core,if water present.

Water leaking in glove box? looks like there is a hose that comes into the box... water is dripping from that hose under the near the back of the engine .

There are three possible fluid can leak though the glove box.

Leaves and dirty block the drainage pathway..
Rain water/car wash water will seek the lowest spot.

AC condenser water drainage pathway may be block.

Windshield washer hose come off and window washer fluid somehow find it was to the interior.

Try to identify the smell of the liquid. It may just be Wet ones wipes.

Good luck

Wet on Passenger side floor when AC is on

Auto ac units have an outside drain for the condensation. If you ever noticed a car running and it looks like it's leaking something on a hot day it's the condensed water from the ac unit draining. What you have is a clogged or disconnected drain hose.
You need to find the hose and drain and reconnect them. Sounds simple, good luck.
