Is the compressor working and pressurizing the freon --- is there air in the system along with the freon preventing the system from circulating --- is the heater control or vent closing --- are the evaporator coils/fins clogged or dirty -- are the air conditioning selector controls properly actuating vents for mixing inside and outside air and closing off heatter vents --- need more investigation on your part

The front air blows cold but the back air is blowing hot
Low on freon. It needs to put on a set of gauges at minimum to check. Just adding freon, does't always fix the problem. To much freon, you will start blowing seals or lines.

Have you checked the refrigerant pressure with gauges? If not, do that first. If there is sufficient pressure but you are still getting hot air, your diverter door for your air handler has stopped moving, probably due to an vacuum leak under your dashboard.

2009 chevy AVEO 5 ac blows hot air
The guage needs to read between 35/40 psi.. If its much higher you may be overfull, this causes it to not cool.. Fix by letting some freon out, then top it back to needed pressure.. If pressure is correct, it would be a clog in the system.. Usually an orafice tube or accumulator..good luck!

your auxillary fan is not working. this fan is responsible for cooling the freon that is being circulated in your cooling system... check if there are any loose wires in front of the engine bay.

the auxillary fan is located right beside your radiator fan.

Air conditioner blowing hot air on 2002 monte carlo and it has freon in it
car air conditioner blowing hot air is cause by either a leak or a clogged condenser, since it has a freon in it then it might be a case of clogged condenser but this is just a contributing factor, it is possible that the leak is small that you wont even notice that the freon is not enough for the a/c to blow cold air.
