Can't turn switch to remove tumbler. What all Do I need to remove & replace.
With the title and an insurance card your dealer can cut a new key by the VIN if you have never replaced the lock cylinder before. If not it will be remove the column covers, drill out the lock and try not to damage the lock housing. Good Luck
You will need to take the plastic covers off of the column first. There will be a 2 wire switch and a 3 wire plug on the housing. Disconnect the 3 wire plug, and then the 2 wire switch is a small white switch on the top of the housing. Use a small flat blade screw driver to disengage it from the housing while twisting it clockwise. Take a chisle knock the head off of the lock cylinder, where the key goes in. Use a 3/8 drill bit to drill out the tumblers. There is a small steel ber that the tumblers ingage/disengage. You will need to use a pick to pull it down into the hole then you should be able to turn the cylinder with plyers to remove it. Just drill straight and do not drill to deep. If I can help let me know. Good Luck
Glad I could help.
