We checked the battery by starting with the light on. Lights stayed on, car did not start. We tried to start in neutral with no result. Car clicks but won't start...

It sounds like the starter is bad. You can have it tested at autozone for free. You just have to remove it from the car to test it.

Hi, I have a 1992 Mazda capella cargo. I have just had a guy tell me the ABS is not working on the car. Firstly does it have ABS because there is no warning light on the dash. Secondly if there is ABS...

If you're not a mechanic, turn your ignition key on but don't start the car, all of your warning lights should come on. If you have ABS you should see a yellow light that says ABS, once you start the car all the light should go out within a few seconds. If you are having problems with your ABS, the yellow light should be on.

1994 Mazda 929, wont start. Car was operational but not started for about 6-7 months. It had a new battery installed previously. Tried to Jump it, but the battery is charged. When key is in ignition,...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. If you have no lights inside, you are not getting power. Clean the terminals and the battery post. Take them off and scrub them with a metal brush. Make sure when you put them back that they are tight. Make sure the terminals are not damaged. Check your ignition fuse also. Since you have no power, you have a bad connection or a bad battery. You need to check your alternator also. It may be bad and cause similar issues. Once you have power inside, you have a good connection and it should start.

Have 97 mazda capella gf-gfer fi 2.0 4wd and I think it has a fs-ze head not a fs-de head its hard to start, doesn't idle right, would that be the head or would the head be fine & be some thing else....

Best thing to do is if you have a check engine light on is run a scan and see what codes come up..If no check lights on than could be your battery or a coroded battery cable,or both,,doent idle right? Should be a check engine light on,,,,,,Auto Zone parts will run a scan for free and tell whats wrong and read the codes for you.

1994 Mazda B4000 4WD V6. Check engine light on. Truck

if i remember right if the battery light and check engine light is on, your alternators may be bad. your battery may just have enough to keep it running for a minute or so. you can take it out and get it tested at a auto parts store. or try charging your battery for awhile and see if it stays on longer. if this is completely wrong let me know

1994 MX6

I had a similar problem when I had my car boosted when I left my lights on. Even though I had turned my lights off the chime alerting me my lights were on would continue to chime even with the lights off AND the car turned off. I was concerned it would drain my battery again, so I took it to Mazda and they just unhooked the power to that chime. It stopped it from beeping all the time, but now I have to remember to turn the lights off.

Note... there are actually 2 chimes that I know of. I was quite surprised one day to hear the chime again - then I realized it was because my keys were in the ignition.
