SOURCE: car wont start 2002 pontiac grand prix

You must have a nearly dead battery, have it jumped then go to a Kragen and have them test the battery and the charging system for a fault. This is FREE!

SOURCE: car wont start...sometimes

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, usually cheapest and easiest to replace the starter and solenoid as a unit. It is always best to check for power between the solenoid and the starter with a test light, if the solenoid clicks but the test light doesn't light up you have found the problem in the solenoid.

SOURCE: fuel pump location 2001 pontiac grand am

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank.Sit in the car.....turn on the ignition switch to run.....listen very closely to the rear of the car...or have someone kneel down by the back should hear a "prime cycle"......the pump running for 2 or 3 seconds if the key was off for 15 seconds before trying this.If you hear silence you most likely need a fuel pump. Before pulling the tank down....check for power on the gray wire at the fuel tank connector just ahead of the rear axle under the car.Check for power with a test light that will last for 2 to 3 seconds as you turn on the key to run.Power means you really most likely need a pump.No power means you may need a fuse or a fuel pump relay.

SOURCE: 2004 pontiac grand am car will not start

the security light will flash and disable the fuel injectors preventing the car from starting, if it thinks that it is being stolen. its easy to fix. set the parking brake to turn off the automatic headlights. next turn the key to the on position and wait ten minutes. the security light should stop flashing. then turn the key off and this will reset the security system. it should start immediatly afterwards.

1993 pontiac grand prix wont start has battery but starter wont turn

First thing i would check is the security system. If the battery is good, and it feels like everything is normall except it just wont crank. It could be the security or the starter. Put your key in and try to start it, when it doesnt start, look for a light on the dash that says SECURITY this is a dead give away and you could find all the answers you may need on this link

2003 pontiac grand am 3.4 having problems with ignition.put new ignition now it wont start because of the theft system.does the new ignition need to be programed?

try this: turn key to on position, do not start. leave key in on position, let car set for 15 minutes then start. if everything else is working correctly, this should relearn the key security. good luck!

Won't start

This could be due to heat buildup in the starter. Your local auto parts store most likely offers an insulation material to place between the engine and the starter.
