Usually if it is the anti theft system it should not start with a boost, I would suggest first check the basics have the altenator tested with a voltmeter the volts should read 13.5 to 14.5 if not you probbably have a bad altenator, loose belt, or bad or loose battery connections. Since the battery went completly dead I would suggest having it recharged and tested.

Disabling the anti theft system isn't that easy! If it was more cars would get stolen! Take the car to a good auto electrician or an alarm specialist they might be able to sort you a replacement remote. If it was a factory fit alarm contact a dealership and ask them what they could do.

Anti-theft system can keep vehicle from starting , Alarm is for vehicle content theft , open door without key alarm sounds (horns) ! PATS - passive anti theft system PATS enables and disables the engine from starting ,it will not cause the engine to die ! You have some other kind of problem ! If the vehicle engine doesn't turn over an red light on top of dash flashes fast ,then you have anti-theft system problem !
PATS differs from the perimeter anti-theft system in that PATS enables and disables the engine from starting. If equipped, the perimeter anti-theft system protects the perimeter of the vehicle (doors, hood and trunk) and sounds an alarm.

Radio unlock code

When you disconnect the car battery you will disable your car radio, (this is an anti-theft device).The unlock code is in your Owners manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Mitsubishi service centre to get them to unlock your radio for you.

Anti theft light comes on when driving

no cutoff switch!! try this turn key to on, do not start car. let sit for about 30 minutes, after 30 minutes, turn key off. wait 15 seconds and try to start car. this should reset anti theft system.
