SOURCE: The Stereo doesn't work I believe it is the amplifier

I thought my problem was the amp as well, it's the RADIO itself. I replaced mine with a very nice fitting TEAC and it works GREAT! The radio under examination was just rotten inside...quite a mess. I've put 2 original Ford radios in this car and the both gave up the ship. I DO enjoy being original...but had to bite the bullet on this one.

SOURCE: My 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII will not start. It

Check your power to your fuel pump. Put your ear to the filler for the gas and get someone to turn on the key, do not crank.. You should here the fuel pump cut on. If not suspect pump problem. You can also take the lin loose at the fuel filter and check to see if gas comes out after key is turned on and work your way to the engine if you get gas there just follow the lines.

How to replace the fuel pump on 98 lincoln mark VIII

Is that an electric fuel pump? If so, you have to unlock the locking ring at the top of the gas tank, where you pump gas in.

Front air suspension not working

Or for under $400 you can buy a coil spring conversion kit from a company like
Arnott. Look for coil spring conversion kit exclusively designed for the Lincoln Mark VIII. The kit converts the entire vehicle to a reliable coil spring/strut suspension system. Also look for a kit the required no special tools and comes with detailed installation instructions.

1993 mark viii first smelled electrical. Next day the radio and cd changer didn't work, how do i know if it is the amplifier or just the radio that has gone bad

Do you have the JBL Premium (will say on the speaker covers) or regular?
Most likely the amp. There is a fuse on some models (cant remember which), replace that first and see what happens.
