you HAVE to get it from a nissan dealer.the valet key has a tooth cut that is different,so that is does open the trunk or glovebox and there is a lockout switch in the glovebox.
but there is a chip in the key and the car will not start without it.
if you try to start the car a few times without the chip,the car will have to be towed to get the body control module re programmed .

Then close the door and slowly insert the key 6 times within 10 seconds but do not go to fast and when the flashers blink then turn the key to the ACC potion and press one of the buttons on the remote.
