Hundai elantra not starting and power locks not working even from inside the car

Battery dead (due to pwr for phone left in/drained battery), jump started and worked yesterday. Needed to put in neutral to move down driveway yesterday (before jump starting). When I went to unlock this morning the key usually unlocks the driver's door then when I flip again, it opens the back door - this morning it would only open the driver's door. When I clicked on the inside locks to open, it would not open, nothing happened. When I put key in to start nothing happened like it is disengaged.

SOURCE: won't start - no sounds - even door locks don't work

Easy step
Have the battery check if it's no good replaceit. The key remote will not work if you have a dead battery.

SOURCE: The past two mornings I went to start the car and

it sounds to me like you have a short or something in your car is using power. You might want to try to pull the fuse for the alarm and leave it out over night, then try the car in the morning and see if it starts. If it does then the problem is in the alarm. My car did that a couple of times and my alarm was the trouble and to replace it. Hope that helps.

2010 gmc seirra hybrid 6.0 won't start but all lites and everything works fine. But there's a constant clicking up by fuse box under hood

constant clicking means the solenoid for your starter motor is either:
- Defective (not likely- since the click means it was working momentarily)
- Not getting enough power to stay on (battery is good for light, not for amperage of starter motor)
- Turns itself off due to overload amperage (seized starter motor/engine)

The clicking is commonly just an indicator of a dead battery; the solenoid clicks- connects power to the huge drain of the starter motor- then, as the amperage draw "browns out" the battery, not enough power is left to keep the solenoid on- clicks off. power drain is gone- solenoid clicks back on- (repeat until battery is REALLY too dead to even get the solenoid to click)

Its important to note that interior lights, dashboards, and stereos draw very little power, an are not good indicators of battery charge.

I would recommend getting a jump-start from somebody, before doing anything more intense. After engine is running, maybe bring it to a mechanic to check its battery charging circuit.

2009 hyundai elantra battery sometimes goes dead

I have the same problem. Usually I notice that somehow my trunk is open. Even if it is slightly open the light in there is on and the battery drains. I have also had it happen when there hasn't been anything on or open. I have to take it to the dealer at some point but for now I am replacing the battery because it is competely drained and I can't even get a jump to charge it. :(

HUNDAI 2000 elantra will not start. it has no power at all . acts like a fuse is blown

it could be a fuse,, check in the fuse box under the hood for one that says Start or ignition, if you have zero power to the car, No lights, radio, nothin, check the battery posts , clean them and tighten them up, if they were to bad then the alternator couldn't recharge you battery , try jump starting it but let the powered vehicle run for a while with the cables attached to your car to assist in charging your battery ,, then try and start the vehicle

Everything is dead in my vehicle. There were no symptoms or indicatior lights prior to this. The key fob won't engage

this is due to a dead battery, the problem is getting into the car to connect jumper cables to try and start the car, alot of these cars are all eclectronic controllled and the key fob is what controls door locks and starting but with a dead battery it cant communicate with computer, if the doors are locked and theres no lock on the door to unlock it then you will need to have AAA unlock it with a tool that goes inside to release lock and then gain acess to battery and replace it or jump it, and go from there, it may just be a bad battery or something was left on like a light but most of these cars have an anti drain module which will shut power down if something is left on until the engine is started. good luck and hope this helps.

ENGINE CRANKS BUT WONT TURN OVER

you meant its a NO CRANK engine.
silent starter, say the word silent.
even the starter relay must click.
and if head lamps die, so will be the starter.
due to a dead battery,
sounds like a bad battery to me. dead or only
DISCHARGED.
if the Charge/battery lamp is off in the cluster driving. its ok. the alternator.

starter car with the jumper cables connected
and not next day.
only live jumps matter. or you go know where.
if you want to walmart they have tool there that
tests the alternator
battery
and for phantom drains all in 6 min work, the tool does all the work.

if the battery is charged, it will crank I bet
its discharging.
for 1 of 3 reasons.
1: its bad.
2: the charge system is dead.
3: phantom drains, it goes dead as you sleep
the head lamps dead is the big clue there.
