Do you have a keyless remote on your ignition key? Or have you just replaced a key? If you haven't replaced a key, does your remote still work on your key? If not the battery in it is dead. If it's like mine, it's a CR2032 battery; they're about the size of a quarter. It says "unknown driver" because it has a factory alarm and your key is the on/off switch (either the little chip or in the remote).
You have a failed key sensor or anti personality module. You will need the dealer to scan the system to see exactly what is causing this error message.
Hi:
When your vehicle says : unknown driver, instead of Driver 1 or driver 2, you have had your battery totally dead. so dead that all the programming was lost, the part about not staying started, or not going into gear is a bit baffling, unless your alternator is the real problem, and the battery has just enough charge to barely start your truck, and may need to be fully charged first and stay running . You will need to do remote and seat reprogramming, when you get this figured out
