My battery on remote was showing low so I replaced the batteries in both of my remotes and now they don't work to unlock car doors or start the car. When try starting there's an error message on my dash that says, "Key ID: No". Car will start if I put the key in the slot in the dash so I know the car is in working order. Was I supposed to reprogram the key after changing battery? thanks!

Hello! There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #12--8-2008 "Inoperative Key Fob"...It addresses a water intrusion issue...The Fob is more than likely damaged due to moisture...A TSB isn't a recall merely a notification of a problem...I would suggest opening the Fob and inspect for any green material in and around the battery contact area....Send a comment with results...Guru...saailer
