My van had exact same problem. Was the fuel pressure regulator. I suggest test that.

More than likely it's the distributor. They have a tendency to build up corrosion and rust and have personally went through the same situation three weeks ago on a suburban. Check to see if you are getting spark from the distributor first. Have the ecm in the distributor checked at Oriellys for free. It's under the rotor and has two 8mm head bolts with wires plugged in at each end.

The best way to help find the problem, is to have a fuel pressure test done on it, that will tell if the fuel pump is weak, or the fuel pressure regulator is malfunctioning. If the pressure is low, the fuel pump is weak,
if it is high, the fuel regulator is at fault.

My "1985" chevy c/10 it stsarts fine when cold, but after it warms up it shuts off. aftre I let it sit for an hour it starts until it gets warm again.

It's been a while. But it is either the ignition control module in the distributor. Or the coil. Both will have this symptom.

2010 Chevy silverado starts hard and puffs smoke when cold

Black smoke is too much fuel. My guess would be that there is an injector that is stuck open draining the pressurized fuel into a cylinder or several cylinders. And that is a considerable amount of fuel. And it would account for the hard start because there isn't any fuel being pumped into the other injectors until the pump builds the pressure back up.

After running my 2000 chevy silverado 4x4 if it sits for about 30 min it dose not want start with out giveing it gas

It might be your core pack. Try getting that checked at the auto store. Or it could be a gunked up fuel injector.

What might be the cause of my 1985 Chevy Blazer not charging?

If you haven't already done so, have the alternator checked, it should put out between 14 to 15 volts.
