Go with the schedule oil change as listed in the hand book. Otherwise 10.000 klm or 6 months . Change at 5000klm if difficult conditions. Type of oil Conditions dictate if you use a multi grade 10/15w- 20/30/40/50 grade oil Again check the hand book Mineral oil will do just a good a job as the more expensive synthentic types As to brands that is you choice.

The car takes 5w-30 semi synthetic oil. However, if you have never put synthetic oil in the car I would recommend using regular oil. I would also advise you check with your local jaguar dealer. The reason for this is if your car is not use to that kind of oil from day one it could cause seal leaks.

The typical type of oil normally used is 5W-30. and that would do fine in your vehicle. You can refer to your owner's manual for the recommended oil usage. Also check the top of the oil cap on the valve cover, which should also say a recommended oil type.

I use Mobil Super FE Special 5-30 but there are many more oils that meet the spec.

depends on the service type you are doing, oil with either VAG code 505 , 507
normal service is a minimum part syn, 5w40 fixed service fully syn, 0w40

Look in the owners manual that's in the glove box, that will show what type of oil to use.
In case you don't have one
Moderate climate----- 5w/30
Hot climate----10w/30

If it is the 3.0 V6 then it takes 5.7- 6.5 ltrs of 5w/30  engine oil.
