My vw caravelle bus 2.6i -1996 model cant start- just cranking but not firing, cant hear the pump click as usual. It was just running fine, then switched off, when i got back all these started. kindly assist.

You must remove the bottom rubber hose from the radiator, and also the upper hose. Extract the radiator out or simply flush the radiator in reverse direction of water flow. If the radiator is clogged you can try to clean inside (chemically) or replace it. Flush the cooling system in reverse direction of water flow. Refit all in reverse order and after that purge air out of cooling system.

You can try to adjust the clutch cable if it has a cable, if its hydrualyic clutch then i would say theres a problem with the clutch plate or preasure plate, but first check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder if its low then you may have a leak, most of the time its the slave cylinder or master that leak, the master is what the clutch pedal pushes which inturn send fluid to the slave cylinder at the trany which pushes the cltuch fork,so start by seeing if its hydraulic which i think it is. then fluid check if low check for leaks.

We do not have micro bus here, but i can tell you that a timing component kit comes with a small book with marks and some directions, another way is to line engine up at top dead center and mark gears before removal, Note; all gears must be line up correctly or engine damage will occur. after you install the timing belt spin crank pulley 2 revolutions and all marks should line back up, if not then realign,
